Not done yet. When we introduced the iPhone, we said it was the best iPod ever. iPhone owners agreed with us. People have been asking when it comes to an iPod. Answer: Today. Looks like an iPhone minus the ear speaker and chrome.

iPod touch. Same size screen as iPhone, but even thinner — 8mm thick. Features multi-touch interface, new icons stripped from iPhone's. Same interface for music as iPhone, same Cover Flow flip on side.

You can store pics, too. With a large enough screen, can make a pretty nice portable album or backup. (Slow to upload, though, from what I understand.)

There's a wi-fi icon. Where there used to be a cell phone icon there is now the word "iPod." It has icons for clock, calculator, calendar, music, video, and photos, plus settings, scattered across the device's face.

You'd better be able to do something other than just sync with it.

Problem is getting on wi-fi. At home you can get on wi-fi easily. At office, too. Everywhere else can be challenge, like at a hotel. Apple is adding an application - the Safari Web Browser.
