Bezel free?

 

Though Im sure its the way to go, it seems like my hands usually go where the bezel is....

 

I don't see a need for bezels on the side. Kind of like the iPad mini.

 

I prefer a bezel, but a smaller one. Just enough so my fat fingers don't press anything when I grasp it.

 

bezel schmezel......just get the IOS update out so that calendar can finally be useful again with a "list" option.

I just switched, although I'm not saving any money. Most data I've used is 6GB, went to a 10GB plan. Gave up unlimited for unlimited text and minutes plus tethering, basically.

Tethering will be handy when I have to work on vacation.

That's not a true list like the former ios.

New ios is going to bring back the list.....finally.

 

I always said if iPhone went a bit wider, I would consider coming back.

I've been saying they need to offer multiple sizes of the iPhone for years.

Could they quit making it longer as well? I don't know the exact dimensions, but that aspect ratio looks off. cough iPad

 

Beautiful design. Really curious how the antennas work seeing as the design is unibody, as opposed to having the antennas along the edges of the device like they've been doing since the iPhone 4. Metal degrades cell signal greatly, hence why the first generation iPhone had the black plastic piece on the bottom of the back, same with the iPads with cellular data.

 

(1)It's hardly going to be outdated anytime soon.
(2)In the end, I think they will realize that it was the right size for most Apple users.

I wouldn't really be interested in a bigger phone unless you could show me advantages...some big generational jump in processing power, or if they suddenly decided to give us a lot more operating RAM, something like that.

Other people are still trying to catch up to the real world performance of the A7 chip, so I'm fine right now. :-)

I'm in love with the design concept that is floating around. I've had an iPhone since the 3G and have had everyone since then but I think if they go with this design and a slightly bigger screen or even the 5.5" to compete with the Galaxy Note series then a lot more people outside of the US would consider it.

 

not only that, older people too. i have quite a few relatives and family friends that got the note because their old eyes cant read the iphone screen that good.

 

iphone 4 got washed a few weekends ago. I wanted to go back to my 3gs and wait for the 6 but they said i couldn't


go to update/restore my 2nd gen iPod touch and it won't update or restore on any comp i have



im so annoyed with apple products right now

Why couldn't you go back? It shouldn't be a problem at all. You would lose anything would be on iOS 7 since the 3GS support ended when iOS 7 was released so if you have a backup point then it should work. Also, you could just go to AT&T and get the old school bigger sim. Unless you went to another carrier.

For your iPod, have you tried dfu/recovery mode? Shut it off, make sure the cord is disconnected, hold the home button, plug the cord in while still holding the home button, continue holding the home button until you see the iTunes logo and cord appear, your computer will recognize it and you're good.

If that doesn't work then keep the cord plugged in, hold the home and power for ten seconds, after ten release the power button, and continue holding the home button. You will then have a black screen. iTunes should pop up and you'll be able to restore.

See if any of that works for you.

Finally they fixed Calendar

 

Installing as we speak, should be done soon.

I'm just happy they actually attempted to improve performance for the iPhone4 in this update. Hoping to see it runs better afterwards.

 

Nope. Still not updating from 6.0.1.

 

Its a lot faster btw.

 

On what hardware?

 

So far it does appear to be faster on my iPhone4, but I'll be putting it through the rigor today and see how it does. usually my phone always feels faster after an update, and then magically slows down again after a little time goes by.

 

Iphone 5s and Ipad Mini 2

 

Appears to be faster on the 5.

Meanwhile...calendar is "better"....but nowhere what it used to be before iOS 7.

 

Me either. But I have noticed my 4s is getting slow. Maybe time to update I just hate the look of ios 7

 

Same my 5 is bogging down a bit and my wifi doesn't work well. I swear they do this on purpose.
