Mine is getting worse

in addition to the green light to left

half of the screen is neon green
not bright but dull

so this page looks two colors on the phone
split right down the middle

Definitely hope they have another phone for you right at the store. That has to be terrible to receive you awesome new phone only to have to deal with that.

I've seen a few comparison reviews on YouTube that test the temperature with a probe, and the iPhone X is couple to a few degrees warmer than the Note 8 they're testing against.

This is after long tests that include compiling 4K video, which I doubt any of us would ever do.

They're starting to do tests like this because of the complaints about "artificial" benchmarks not showing real world performance.

From my personal experience with a 7 Plus v an LG V30, I can say that the 7 Plus can manipulate a very big document more effectively than the LG V30. Although I've asked them not to do this, people will sometimes send me a huge file instead of breaking it up, and if I'm out on the road I will try to use the phone instead of starting up the MacBook, starting the hotspot, and so on.

While I still had the 7 Plus, it was able to smoothly manipulate one of these huge files, and the same file caused the LG V30 to get glitchy and jittery.

Like compiling video, however, this is something that we're not usually going to be doing.

I'm glad they are doing these tests like this. It's very possible the Geekbench scores don't mean quite as much as we Apple aficionados like think that they do.

So when you showed them you had made an appt did they accommodate you? Or just make you wait because you weren’t in the system?

Yea one thing about Apple is their CS isn't consistent.

you shouldn't have to escalate your problems to the CEO of a company to get things resolved.

it got bad when that cost cutting douche from England was in charge of retail. Things have been pretty solid under Ahrendts.

Thank you. I wrote a detailed letter. Will proof read it and send it tonight

They replaced the phone with a new one. No apology for making me wait. Horrendous service.

The one thing to note....is even when you have an appt at the genius bar (one that is logged in their system) You still end up waiting a bit because they are busy.

That said, they should have at least apologized. And thats bullshit if they didn't. Especially, in a brand spanking new flagship store.

I have no problem waiting with an appointment
I do it everywhere

however since it was no logger I was annoyed

and they made the situation worse with bad customer service and making me feel like I was cutting in line and lying about an appointment when I had the email proof in my hands

oh well

complaint sent

new phone in hand (display ok for now)

Unfortunately any company can have a situation that affects its reputation. Its about expectations though. I have had different levels of experience with Apple support but mostly positive, same with Best Buy. Best Buy has a pretty crappy customer service reputation but they have been good to me. I once bought a Samsung Windows tablet and the included keyboard broke on it. I tried dealing with Samsung directly and that was literally the worst experience in my life. Weeks of waiting for a replacement keyboard only to have them send me back the broken one with no explanation. Went to Best Buy where I bought it and they gave me a whole new tablet and keyboard to exchange. You had a bad two hours but got a new iPhone, not to mention a hard to get iPhone. I would go back one day and ask for a manager and tell them what happened.

I have no issues with Apple products or Apple service. Since I have all these years never needed to use their service. Its like my Honda/Toyota products. Sure the warranty is good, but the best warranty is the one I don't have to use. Same reason I don't want a Hyundai .

I only had one experience in 6 years, and it was bad. Now if my X goes bad again, then I will complain about the product.

Other than that, I am very happy with Apple. Their shares have made me a lot of money. Their products keep me happy. No complaints.
