I got excited for a second thinking it was going to be delivered in a few days, nope still 10 more days to go...
Hopefully all the bugs will be fixed, and all the apps will be X compatible by then

I don't know why they're shipping differently now.
The boxes are better cushioned, and there's no signature required.
I hope they know what they're doing.

However, I have run across two people now who say the Bluetooth connectivity issue for Honda and Acura is fixed in iOS 11.2.
One of the correspondents says that iOS 11 broke it, and 11.2 fixed it.
The other one came into it with 11.2 and can only say that his is working.

Wife spoke to him today, he says UPS is requiring them to get signatures on all the phone deliveries. Could vary by UPS district, but very frustrating.

UPS is requiring signatures because they're the ones who have to pay out for a replacement if someone claims they never got their iPhone, not Apple.
Apple is no signature required because if an iPhone gets stolen, it's another sale for them when UPS has to pay out for a replacement.
Each party is looking out for their own best interest.

I get that, but once Apple selects the option of "no signature required", I believe they forfeit a lot of UPS' liability for any claims. I'm sure both sides have done the math on a batch of shipments this large.
Regardless, for Apple to blatantly list it as no signature required, then UPS makes up their own rules, was a bit annoying.

Just a heads up, Apple is listing no signature required, but UPS is requiring them. My phone was supposed to be delivered Friday, driver wouldn't leave it (he knows us and leaves amazon packages regularly on the porch).

The last package was just left at the door, but it was just an 8 Plus, not an iPhone X.

I watched somebody in the YouTube universe have a conniption about it. It was amusing for the conniption's sake, but I still don't understand why it's a big deal.

Confirming no signature required.
Also confirming that the Apple employees who suggested setting up as new to solve the Bluetooth problem were correct.

Blue tooth has never worked well with my 2007 TL. Since the original iPhone to the 7 Plus

At a given RF signal, the LG V30 can use data and make calls when the iPhone X can not.
:-(
I noticed this with the iPhone SE and iPhone 7 Plus, and was just testing in a difficult place to see whether it might be different with the iPhone X.
If you are in the area, I am testing on the western border of Quantico Marine Base.
The only signal available is a weak Band 12 wave around -120 dba.
The iPhone X is a better device, IMHO. And the Apple ecosystem is better overall, IMHO.
But the V30 definitely has a better radio and modem.
