Oh and a quick shout out to my boys at iFixit! I order their Pro Tech tool kit and it came in yesterday and I replaced the battery in my iPhone 3G with the tools in it. Let me just say that that is the BEST toolkit I've used for working iDevices, Macs, PCs, etc. It has a bunch of tweezers, spudgers, suction cup, and every screw under the sun and they're magnetized!

WtF... My order arrived in Louisville Kentucky on the 11th... and just left Louisville at 4:46 today to be delivered in Long Beach. I'm gonna be bummed if it doesn't get here tomorrow.

 

You'd be surprised how quickly fedex/ups can move a package across the country

One time I was waiting for a package from Phoenix being shipped overnight. When i went to Bed, it said departed Phoenix, when I woke up, it said "Out for Delivery"

I think the package went from JFK airport right to the truck and to my house

I was hoping mine would show up before I left for work, but no dice. Its back on the truck for another attempt tomorrow. Hopefully they deliver it and the ipad together, before I leave for work this time!

 

In my experience, FedEx tracking info isn't always 100% up to date.

 

I've seen it changed almost in front of my eyes. I checked status of package, then had knock at the door. Opened package and mess around about 10 minutes. Went back to computer and refreshed page.

 

Just print out the pre-sign note and sign it, they'll leave it for you...you can even designate where you want them to leave it.

 

Was out running errands and picked up the red leather smart cover.

 

sweet I just remembered I have $20 rewardzone points at Bestbuy that I need to use.

Do they sell the smart cover?

 

I'm ready to be amazed by this display....I'm ready to hate every other display I see....I'm ready to start bitching about how a $500 device can have an awesome display and yet my $1000 laptop doesn't....:waiting:

So I decided to get a 32gb one if I can and sell my 16gb one.

I'm here at a local strip mall and there is a bit of a line in front of bestbuy but no one at radio shack or the Verizon store.

While everyone is on line outside cold and wet , im parked in front of radio shack in my car having coffee listening to the radio. Why does everyone go to the apple store or bestbuy by default? Do they not know other stores sell ipads? 10 more minutes before the stores open then off to work

Its so beautiful that the cheap screen protector that I purchased was pulled off with the quickness and thrown away because it screwed up the beauty of the screen. The screen is currently naked and i'm a bit nervous but I think i'll be fine.

Also it seems a bit snappier than other ipads i've messed with but i've never owned one before so I can't say for sure
