Its so beautiful that the cheap screen protector that I purchased was pulled off with the quickness and thrown away because it screwed up the beauty of the screen. The screen is currently naked and i'm a bit nervous but I think i'll be fine.

So far it seems like it's not good this time around for anyone looking to make a profit. Early reports are short lines at apple stores and best buys...seems to be a lot of stock available this time around and low demand so far compared to ipad 2 release.

Some say still to early to tell and to give it a few days, once word get out about the display, more people may want to buy over the weekend and possibly cause stock shortages.

Just my luck, I have one extra to sell and no "frenzy" so far... Its like the stock market lol

Yea they are delivering eleventy million ipads today, im sure they are backed up but you will get it eventually

People on mac forums are now getting fedex delivery exceptions pushing delivery to 8pm tonight instead of 3 pm

BTW just a heads up, the charging time on the new iPad is significantly longer due to the larger batter.

Some people say 6-7 hours to fully charge it.

I wouldn't bother at the apple store.

And there definitely is alot of demand, I just think they had a bigger initial inventory this year.

it's not mine. my sister had hers shipped to my place since its easier with delivery.

BUT... I will be getting one soon.

It's quite an amazing companion for photography work and the new high resolution screen makes it even better for that kind of thing.

They sold an estimated 1 million "pre-orders" since its announcement, but you might get lucky haha

I got mine about 2hrs ago. I was on my PC about to print out the pre-sign delivery sheet when I heard the Fed Ex truck out side. I jumped out of my seat and ran through the house and out to the truck to meet him. The delivery guy was in the back getting my box and when he came out and saw me waiting for him he said "Oh, thank god!" I asked if he was delivery a lot of them today and he said he was and that there was a bunch of extra rules and steps he had to follow if the person wasn't home so he was glad I was.

I opened it and did the restore from iCloud backup and that went pretty well, after a few minutes I had my app icons and setting from my ipad 2 back. Then it started downloading and reinstalling all the apps which took a while. Then once that was done it said that I had 34 updates for the apps I just downloaded.

Not sure why it didn't just download the latest version of my apps but now it's downloading the updates and that looks like it's going to be a while longer.
