So if you bought a used one, how would you go about formatting to get any crap that my have been left on purpose? Would you just reset to factory once you hooked up to itunes?

I was downloading the new free preview C&D magazine the other night when apparently my iPad's connection to Wi-Fi went down and it switched over to 3G. There went my entire 3G data plan for the month.

Thanks.

Apple discounted the 1st generation by $100.
It's in the clearance section of the store.
Anyone within the 14day return period will get credited back $100.

If it's anything like my Storm II, you'll be sorely disappointed. RIM is absolutely clueless when it comes to touchscreen interfaces, until proven otherwise.

I just know engadget says about the Playbook

To be frank, we're a little worried about the fate of the PlayBook if it's indeed close to launch -- when we tried a prototype at the Game Developer's Conference this past week in San Francisco, the hardware was still pretty solid, but the software was a bit sparse, and what was there felt like it needed more than a few coats of polish.

I use mine at work all the time. It's much more efficient for e-mail and calendar than Outlook.

I'm going to be piloting some department dashboarding delivered to iPads/iPhones through SAP BusinessObjects within the next couple of months too.

My Gazelle box came in today. They shipped me a medium Priority Mail box folded up in a big envelope. The iPad fit in very nicely. I don't think I'm going to get the $437 price because I noticed a couple knicks by the volume rocker Now I want to know if they'll give me the price of what a good condition iPad was worth when I placed my order with them or what it will be when they receive it. They'll probably do whatever is least or at best and average of the two.

That's where I was at with the 32g version. I'm using mine mainly for proofing and print ordering with clients and with the SortShots app it works perfectly. I'll get a later model when they come out with one that has a newer display on it.

I did get the camera connection kit and thought it was pretty handy that I could hook up my iphone to it and transfer all the photos and videos.

I'm seeing lots of people saying (and poking fun) at it being just "small" updates. I think they are pretty substantial and 'normal'. I mean, these are all updates you would similarly see for the 2nd gen of pretty much any other kind of tech device. Lighter, thinner, faster, etc. I'm particularly impressed by its thin-ness.

Those people are assholes, it was pretty damn good with 1st G, these are the same assholes who said the first one wasn't anything to begin with and it's turned out pretty good and, they have sold how many?

heh I've realized only recently that I am generally not an 'early adopter', when it comes to things like this. with some exceptions.

Not to hijack the thread, but I have been watching a few online demos and the touchscreen interface looks very good. Size may be an issue (7") and I don't yet know if there is a stylus driven note taking (handwriting) application. From an enterprise perspective it is very capable (security, VPN, etc), and definitely geared toward the needs of people who use blackberrys. Clearly this is a different crowd from the iPhone/iPad crowd.

From what I heard from people who used it was that it was pretty nice. We'll have to just wait and see I guess...

I read somewhere that Target is taking trade-ins of iPad 1s. No idea on what price they are willing to pay.

besides online and the apple store you can get it at best buy, walmart, sams club and target. They're also saying that it will go on sale online @ 12 am pacific time on march 11th. So if you order then you could possible get it on Monday but probably will on Tuesday the 15th.
