The only time you buy a new apple is when they announce them. Otherwise you just never know when something new will come out.

If they don't announce on the 20th I have to do it anyway. I'd be finished editing this wedding days ago if I weren't constantly sitting around waiting for LR & PS to crunch. I'm way behind.

If you composed the photos correctly the first time this wouldn't be an issue.

I'd be all over that. My 1st gen MBA 1.8 C2D w/ SSD is still OK, but Lightroom is a little sluggish at times.

Not happening. Because Intel's integrated graphics doesn't support OpenCL while's Nvidia's integrated graphics does. BUUUTT Nvidia doesn't have the licensing rights to use their integrated graphics chips with Intel's Core iX chips. So in order to get OpenCL capable graphics with a Core iX chip Apple must use Nvidia discrete graphics. The problem with this is power and space requirements, there isn't room in the 13.3 chassis for CPU, integrated GPU and discrete GPU and there isn't room for CPU, discrete GPU and chipset northbridge. So they have to stick to the two chip combo of CPU and Nvidia IGP and since Nvidia doesn't have a license to use their IGP chip with Core iX chips then Apple is stuck using C2D chips.

Mostly adding linear contrast & pumping up the blacks. And sharpening. And noise reduction. And, and...

This couple wanted slightly edgier processing, so they're taking me longer.

The day you actually come to terms with this fact, rather than mention it sarcastically will be a big breakthrough in your condition.

I think that's an AT&T thing - all of their refurb phones are 90 days. I bought a 12" PowerBook G4 back in the day, refurbished, with a 1 year warranty and eligible for AppleCare 3 year.

Well, it might just be the iPhone then, but all other refurbished Apple hardware carries a 1 year warranty.

that's a lotta money for a thin n light

I've been watching the whole video stream on my iPad. Much better than reading a liveblog

I'm not too excited about lion, I want to see more features.

and I was hoping for more from iLife but the new audio features in imovie are cool.

It's about twice as much as I paid for my nieces thin n light that had same 11.6in screen with same resolution, more RAM, bigger hard drive and better battery life. I can easily get 7-8hrs from that thing and it was $550

adding a keyboard shouldn't double the price. Honestly I'd take an ipad with osx 10.6 and a keyboard for 700.

No new MBP

Guess I'll take one of the pos's already out there.

I don't even have iLife installed..don't care. The Air is worthless at the price point. Irritating.
