I know the Droid RAZR got overshadowed by the ICS announcement but I thought this was cool:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDusK...eature=related

Its a mouse that turns into a phone. Pretty cool stuff.

I'm not sure. Probably depends on which nightly. If you have a copy of it on your sdcard you could always flash it again without wipe to revert.

Civicdrvr, how's franco's kernel working for you?? I think I might flash it over Matr1x.
Also do you know what deep idle is? And do you have any of Eezkeel's other mods like touchwake and so forth? I've never tried any of them.

That's why I use ADB Wireless to transfer stuff onto my phone nowadays. Haha. My USB cable doesn't work as good as it used to. It could be just my USB port on my laptop since I keep plugging things in and out of it. Oh well.

USB cables can go bad, the one that came with my Epic started crapping out and almost screwed me over when Odin'ing. It charges but won't transfer data 99% of the time.

Oh for the people that want to use Google Videos (and Blockbuster) and are rooted, you can use Temp Root Remover to bypass the root check temporarily:

https://market.android.com/details?i...GVvcy5yb290Il0.

Depending on where your ROM stores "su" it may or may not work. What it does is rename "su" to "mu" as the Google Videos app looks for the "su" file. You will have to rename "mu" back to "su" before you can gain root access in other apps. (Its all in the Temp Root Remover).

Yeah. Thank goodness any MicroUSB cable works fine and they're cheap online. Otherwise, ADB Wireless works fine or I just download the stuff straight on to my phone. Not being tied down to a computer is always a plus in my book.

That's one of the many. Or you can create an FTP connection to your phone's SD Card.

You'll need, root, ADB installed and you need to be on the same connection as your phone (so put it in WiFi. Adhoc to your computer is fine as well). Click the Big Green Circle and it'll give you an IP Address to enter into terminal on your computer. Open up terminal and then enter:

Code:
adb connect xxx.xxx.x.x:xxxx Where X of course = IP Address:Port
That's it. You have full access to your phone anywhere your phone is connected to the same internet connection as your computer. You can do all the adb commands on there. To copy things to your phone use "push" and to pull stuff from your phone use "pull". You can even install APKs (this is the way I do it) using install command or logcats all wirelessly:

Code:
adb push "whatever file you want" /sdcard/ (or wherever you want to push the file to)

adb pull "file" directoryoncomputer (C: drive or wherever you want to copy it to)

adb install "filename.apk"

if you're upgrading the app, you have to use "-r"

adb install -r "filename.apk"

adb shell logcat
Remember adb is case and name sensitive. (TIP: You can drag the files into terminal and it'll fill out the filename and location for you so you don't have to cd to that file.)

ES File Explorer can make an FTP server to your SD Card I believe. You just enter that ftp address into explorer and you can drag drop or pull files as needed:

so my fascinate has been having a weird problem. the battery life goes from 15 to x within like 5 seconds. it just started doing this, and it does this only couple days per week. And sometimes, when i plug the charger, within 2-3 minutes it charges up to 60%.

Have you been turning the phone on with the power/usb cable plugged in? Try charging it while the phone is fully off. Then turn it on, WITHOUT the usb/charger plugged in. For some reason, the battery stat gets confused when there's a power/usb cable plugged in as it boots and calibrates it wrong.

Its running great. Battery life is amazing. I had one reboot last night after listening to music with the screen off for about an hour. I think it has to do with that Deep Sleep mod everybody seems to be putting into their kernels. I bumped the minimum clock speed to 400mhz and haven't had a problem since. I also seem to get better battery life now

And I know Quadrant scores can be manipulated, but I got 47xx with it. I was only able to get ~3600-3900 with NSCollab.

Ill be flashing the latest nightly later tonight at work.

ADB Wireless is pretty cool. I just use dropbox to transfer files most of the time.

What LiveOC??

I'm gonna try out NScollab 1.0.50 with matr1x 9.0 see how that is with my phone, then I'll try out franko to see if its better.

and I'm gonna try pushing the files over using adb wireless, see if i can do that.

for adb wireless, do you have to go into the file directory before pushing it, so i can just drag the file in to the terminal, then say adb push "filename"

adb push (drag file) /sdcard/

I did that and well nothing shows up?

edit:wait i see it in my explorer, but its not letting me type in the command window on my computer so I think its still going on? Its a big file so I guess it will take time.

okk adb wireless worked, it was just a huge file that was transferring slowly.

edit: so the first file I transferred went at 97kb/s and the second file 19kb/s

I'm kinda far away from my router and my phone is showing the two small bars for wifi, guessing thats the reason.

ummm does CM7.1/Matr1x kernel/NSCollab 1.0.50(CM7.1 core)/KB3 radio. Something is making my 3G speeds much faster.

I just tested it after you guys were testing yours with that 3G boost.

The highest I've seen before was 3.5 MB/s, and I just hit 5.9 at my house... holy.... I didnt know T-mobile can hit these speeds!!

edit: civicdrvr, latest NSCollab didnt have stock voltages. I flashed Matr1x 9.0 on top of it though so I dunno if thats why. It froze right away lol, but I raised the voltages and I'm good now, will see how it is.

edit edit: CBFebtsx04, is that script you posted by Juwe RAM optimization script by juwe11, cause thats included in the features of my ROM, so do i have to do the stuff you said? Or dl that app and redo it, I just wont have to put that file in my sdcard right?

Yeah the transfer speed is dependent on your router. It should be as fast as transferring with a USB cable though.

Juwe's settings are a little bit different. I posted his a few pages back. They're more balanced but it doesn't prioritize the homescreen so you'll see it refresh after heavy multitasking every now and then. The Kickass kernel script I posted recently allows you to choose how aggressive/balanced you want your phone to be in terms of killing apps. You don't have to use the Kickass kernel if you're happy with Juwe's but the Kickass kernel may or may not conflict with it. It shouldn't though because it uses the build.prop to override any kernel values and places a script in system/etc/init.d/ folder that starts up first after every reboot. My suggestion is try out Juwe's for now. If you're homescreen keeps refreshing after intensive multitasking, give Kickass kernel a try. You could always uninstall it. I haven't seen my homescreen refresh in a while now using Kickass kernel tweaks setting #6 on my Galaxy S.

Glancing over the LiveOC. It looks like they're starting to OC the bus speed of the phones on top of the CPU. Should increase performance all around as they're seeing. Very interesting. Wonder if other phones have this mod available:

Yea I do, but on the Matr1x 8 and up kernels I was lucky to get about 32hrs total. I just hit 50% and its over a day since I took it off the charger. My activity on the phone has stepped up the past six hours though.
