Be interested in how you like the P5. The camera has so new things I like mainly the video stuff but hoping it is just software that makes it to the others eventually. The first time I skipped the new Pixel.
The P4 is the best Google phone build quality wise they have ever made in my opinion. It is the most solid, best looking design front/side/rear. Closest they ever came to iPhone build quality and heft. Actually, thinking something crazy in my mind and considering an iPhone for the the first time ever specifically just for the Pro Max camera depending on how reviews of that new sensor and sensor stabilization turn out.

Will provide when I get some seat time with it.
I had the Nexus 6P, P2XL, and now the P3XL. I had the P4XL on order but cancelled it after all the shitty reviews came out and just bought the P3XL used at that point. My P3 doesn't have bad build quality but it's more than acceptable. I'll let you know about the P5 when I get it.
I'm excited about the wide angle lens though, that's a big part of why I got this phone.

I have the 3XL and 4XL and I think the build quality is pretty much the same.
The lack of a fingerprint sensor on the 4XL means the 3XL gets most of the usage, especially in these facemasked times.

I guess your right the build quality materials and fit is probably the same. I like the more slab and less rounded design of the 4XL vs the 3XL though when they are in a case it doesn't make much difference. I carry both the 3XL and 4XL at all times to keep work separate.
Hrm...not sure if anyone is having this issue with Android Phones but if I'm trying to make a call from my car's phone interface, it would try to dial out but always end before you start hearing the ringing sound. I have to re-test it but it only works if the phone's screen is not "off" and active. So, if my phone's screen is not active, the call will NOT go through.
This happen to anyone else?

Green was the only option for me. It's my favorite color. I was pissed you couldn't get great falls great on the Golf when you could on the GTI.
I don't know about detailed but I'll do some sort of review when I get some more seat time...
Don't know yet. I really like minimalistic cases but have yet to find one that meets what I want. I used to use Spigen's thin fit cases but apparently they changed the design this year and it sucks. I'm thinking about going with totallee or whatever they're called as they have a thin case that seems to meet most of what I want. It's only missing the lip for screen protection.

So, I should be more specific also with my issue: This just started to happen when I got the 4a. I had the gen 1 Pixel before. So, when driving the S5, I will always have the phone connected via USB. Bluetooth and everything is enabled. I attempt to make a call from my Audi MMI interface via the steering wheel (hence, it is toggled through the dash). So, if say I look you up and try to call you, it'd say "connecting" and then, about after 2 seconds, change to "ending". No ringing sound. It would keep doing this until I touch my 4a and wake up the screen.
First take on Pixel 5 as promised... It works great for my purposes. The camera is awesome, as expected, screen is good, battery is phenomenal, build quality is more than acceptable. Reverse charging is actually pretty useful, I use it all the time to charge my headphones while my phone is charging.
Big things I've noticed in comparison to my previous P2 and P3 phones:
Big things I've noticed in comparison to my previous P2 and P3 phones:
- The fingerprint reader is WAY faster
- Camera renders pictures quicker
- Camera is smarter with mode suggestions
- Easier to get into night sight
- The charging speed is WAY faster, I've measured more than 3.3A from a USB-C to C charger (the one that comes with it)
- Screen is pretty responsive to scrolling, it's really smooth. I don't know when it's at 90hz or 60hz but it's good overall.
- 5G isn't a huge deal right now, I can't tell a huge difference between it and LTE.
- I miss the front speakers, the bottom and screen speakers suck compared to the dual fronts.
- Rear housing feel is really nice. Has a good texture.
- Feels less well built than my P3 in that it doesn't have as much "heft". I don't think that implies it's not well built but just doesn't feel like a rock in your hand.
- Size is really nice while maintaining a bigger screen. Easier to hold in hand
- Not many people are making minimalist cases for it yet, mine is still going without a phone condom.
Found out that they also included a feature where it automatically flips on battery share when you're connected to power. So the phone becomes a charging pad when it's plugged in. Pretty slick, I charge my headphones every night with this.
yeah, they call it "limited edition"
and no price increase, still $350.
been wanting to get my mom a smaller more pocketable phone, she's currently using a Nokia 6 or something like. at least 2 years old, still works. just huge in the hand.

I was hoping for a bigger one as trying to convince Megan of one vs another iPhone which is ironic since I bought an iPhone but she was complaining about the iPhone price and only really cares about her camera. Other than the main chip though I don't think they cut a lot of corners in that phone honestly. I bet the margins might be tighter than when they sell the higher-priced phones they have over the years. That said I bet you see $100 off by Jan 2021.
My first Pixel 3 got the black death screen and if you guys remember they sent me a replacement. Now I'm having an issue with constantly dropping calls. It just hangs up and says "no response, timed out. Typically with only one of my contacts, Verizon support and walked me through trouble shooting and sent me a new sim card yesterday. Still dropping calls. Like over and over again. Has anyone heard or had this issue?? I will be contacting Verizon shortly and demanding a new device or upgrade. But honestly not sure I'll stick with Pixel unless I don't have a choice. Very frustrating having 2 phones fail in less than 2 years.

Never seen either of those issues. I am going on two years of use of my pixel 3 xl between it being my personal phone and now my work phone. Hopefully, they get you sorted out.

The other day, I found out that when you have 100 open tabs in chrome mobile, it changes the number in the box to a big smile face.

I used to not have many open either. Because back when phones were more flaky, each time it'd crash or power off, I'd lose everything (remember those dark olden days?). But now that it has some persistence... I guess I'm lazy.
Yes!Actually they were just going to send me another Pixel 3 but I was persistent in wanting a different device. So was able to upgrade. Been with Android a long time and just want a change. So I went with the 12 pro max. Haven't had an iPhone since the 4s.
