I do know that Magic however, lead a team of HOFs, the greatest scorer in NBA history, and not the scrubs Lebron left behind in Cleveland, who'd follow anyone, really.

Also, coming from a franchise with the illustrious history the Lakers had, being able to rise above even that and be seen as leader/orchestrator and one of their greatest ever teams carries some weight with regards to leadership. And that was from day 1, from both example and play.

But whatever, I'm a hater. I'm sure this translated to "Lebron sucks, and Lebron sucks some more..." even as I compare him to my greatest player ever. So be it....carry on...
Well I didnt call u a hater so I guess u mean others outside the forum.

Nah, just messin...

I don't really read other basketball forums anymore. Too many people drinking the koolaid in the Lakers forums, too many crazy people in the national forums. Believe it or not, this is actually fairly balanced if you can believe that.

He left because his leadership wasn't good enough for him to lead them there.

Some of those players wouldn't be Hall of Famers without the accomplishments of Magic and Kareem making them look better than they actually were.

Good lord, will these announcers please shut up about Dirk's finger? For someone who has had this same injury in the left pinky and left middle finger (like Dirk) on two separate occasions, I can tell you its not that serious of an injury. It's not a broken bone, its just a torn extensor tendon; it runs along the top of your finger and it allows you to straighten the tip. It doesn't even hurt when it happens because its so quick. Its just a quick pain, then its over, the only way you know something is wrong is when you look down and notice your finger tip is bent and you can't straighten it.

Other than having to wear a splint for 6 - 8 weeks non stop and it being a little annoying, it doesn't really affect anything too bad and especially not shooting the ball since its on his left hand. He may be affected a little dribbling with his left, but trust me it won't affect him too much once he gets used to it.

The pain comes only when the splint is taken off 6 weeks later and your finger is stiff as hell.

God we blew that shit. I knew Dallas had a cOmeback in them. Even with those turnovers. This one hurts. Does the momentum shift?

How the hell did Dallas pull that off, or did LeWade just start to fall apart in the QTR in they've been beast modin' in?

Games 3 & 4 at Dallas will help us, but Miami is coming here with fire in their game. Dirk & the team need to keep their game up.

They looked just like the Nov-Dec Heat in the last 6 minutes there. Horrible shot selection, no ball movement, leaving Dirk open for a 3? Not closing out on his last layup?? Foul not given?! The fuck is wrong with these idiots.

damn, crazy.

Miami fell into that bad habit of working the clock, rather than working their offense. Coupled with no longer getting easy baskets off turnovers, they looked pretty bad at the end of the game.

#1 Great defense by Miami
#2 GODDAMIT Mavs WTF is with all the turnovers?! GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER
#3 Horrible officiating by the 'officials' (one instance in the 2nd qtr where someone on the Heat shot and Bosh dunked it while it was still in the cylinder, just one of several bullshit calls we saw)
#4 Mike Wilbon is a huge piece of fucking shit... knuckleheads
#5 NEVER count the Mavs out even if you are up 10 points with 1 minute left
#6 Dirk is just fine with his 'hurt' finger

Oh yea Peja, if you are just going to 'try' to defend and not attempt any 3's, stay the fuck out. Oh wait, that is on you, Carlisle.

Games 3,4, and 5 at Big D now. Wow....

Heat: Scariest team in the playoffs
Dirk: Scariest player in the playoffs

FWIW, I don't think any of these teams will back down. Too many vets on Dallas, too much talent on Miami.

I was actually hoping miami would win this one, then dallas would win the next 4. Would be the ultimate payback from 2006. That being said, dirk is doing his best impression of the 2006 wade.

So, I finally got around to watching the post-game highlights, & I'm not surprised at the amount of articles this morning asking, "Did the Heat celebrate too early?"

Despite LeWade both saying no, I saw that "Um, derrr" look of shame on LeBron's face when he was asked in the post-game. "It's what we did all season". This isn't the season, LeStupid, this is the Finals & we thank you for handing us Game 2.

they had a foul to give and didn't foul. terrible coaching. mavs would have had the ball with 5 seconds left if dirk gets fouled near the 3 point line, then game woulda went to OT.

Spo coaches like a video technician. Even though both the coach and players acknowledged the foul to give was brought up in the huddle a better coach would have gotten his point across and a better coach would not have Bosh guarding Dirk in the last possesion especially since you have UD and Joel Anthony. No matter what happens in this series the Heat need a better coach.

You would have thought the Heat would have watched the OKC series and not repeated what happened there. The Heat played great for 3 1/2 quarters then choked. No matter what they said in the press conference this will weigh on their minds because its not the first time they've played this bad.

Heat got complacent. Wade burying that 3 from the corner and posturing like he's snapping a photo. They relied on pullup jumpers instead of driving to the hole. I went from cursing Terry for all his turnovers to cheering him as he got hot down the stretch. Dirk is a beast, he rode the change in momentum to the bank. I'm just glad we have a competitive finals.
