Big congrats to Big D!!
They had a ton of crap to put up with in the past couple of years (Warrior beating them, epic collapse in the finals, etc). So I think Dirk deserves this, Kidd as well...and I'll add that Rick Carlisle deserves some measure of redemption for what happened to him in previous jobs. He's always been a pretty decent coach, IMO.

Finally, after 13 years, Dirk finally has a championship. So close to being knocked out multiple times, maybe now we will finally be seen as a worthwhile team.

LOL, it doesn't feel as good as my Lakers winning it all (I don't feel like starting a fire in the middle of my street or anything), but it does feel pretty good to not see the Wade/Lebron era start yet.

This was a hard fought series and I'm glad Dallas won. Lebron established himself as a choker in the very biggest games there were rumors before but this series cemented that, Dan Snyder was wrong Lebron isn't a quitter he's a choker.
I don't care what anyone says Spo is not a good coach he made countless mistakes and if the Heat had a better coach they probably would have won this series even with Lebron choking. Unfortunately the Heat will be back and be a force to be reckoned with at least during the season but if they don't get a new coach I highly doubt the will ever win a championship with this group.

So glad Dirk, JKidd, and Terry finally got their rings. I wasn't really going for either team, just wanted to see a competitive series which is what we got for the most part. I would have been happy for the winner and sad for the loser either way.
I think this was probably the Mavs last chance with the squad they have now, and they played one hell of a series. Nothing but clutch plays from the entire team. Mavericks simply out played the more athletic team. Terry was huge and I'm glad he won just to show the dumb ass Atlanta Hawks how stupid they were to get rid of him.
Too bad I can't say the same for Miami, nothing but choke jobs all around. They could have very well have swept this series, but choke jobs in Game 2 and Game 4 did them in which I figured would happen. And as much as I like him, Lebron is simply not better than Jordan and won't even come close unless he can start stepping it up in big games. I've watched some of MJ's playoff games this past week, and there is simply no comparison at this point. Heck he doesn't even match up with Kobe's playoff performances.
Miami will be back in the think of things next year and the only team they really need to watch out for is Chicago as I think Boston ruined their chances by getting rid of Perkins. But until they get some better shooters and rebounders, they will be hard pressed to win a championship. And as happy I am for Dallas, I'm very dissapointed at how Miami finished the game. They looked like crap in the 4th quarter and it seemed like no one even wanted to take the big shot until Wade decided to take over, but it was too late by then.

Still not happy that the LAKERS lost to the mavs, but at least we lost to this year's eventual champs and not to some chumps that lost to miami. Finally the season is over. On to next year.
