Exactly. Bulls would be a lottery team without those two.

Anyone want Rose in a trade? I think Paxson will unload him for a couple of used socks.

And I haven't even started about how you and Waldorf predicted the Hawks would miss the playoffs.

Look who's back in it...even with half a roster.

NBA Commissioner David Stern says, "Kobe Bryant’s comment during last night’s game was offensive and inexcusable. "

He continues, "While I’m fully aware that basketball is an emotional game, such a distasteful term should never be tolerated. Accordingly, I have fined Kobe $100,000. Kobe and everyone associated with the NBA know that insensitive or derogatory comments are not acceptable and have no place in our game or society.”

As we previously reported, Kobe mouthed the words, "f**king f**got" after getting a technical foul during the game.

FYI -- according to Forbes.com, Kobe made an estimated $48 million last year in salary and endorsements.

UPDATE: A rep for the Human Rights Campaign -- an LGBT civil rights organization -- tells TMZ, "We applaud Commissioner Stern and the NBA for not only fining Bryant but for recognizing that slurs and derogatory comments have no place on the basketball court or in society at large."
Smh.

^^that's not the first time nor last time that word, or the N word or any other derogatory word will be said on the basketball court.

American basketball culture involve tons of talk. Its part of the game. Many things get said on many courts, every day. Kobe just got caught. Not condoning it (I don't talk much on the court myself) but this is neither the worst nor the best of anything said on the court at any given time.

Did KG ever get fined for calling Charlie Villanueva a cancer patient?

Yup. Brilliant move for Kobe a couple of years ago to change his number.

I'm surprised he's been on top this long...guess the market's reached saturation.

I guess LeBron isnt as hated as thought since people still bought his jersey regardless of changing teams. Why stay current if people supposedly hated him?

I think he's hated, don't get me wrong, but its more about polarization than 'hate'. I think many people love him just as much as people hate him.

People that didn't like him before don't like him even more now. But those that liked him found a reason to buy his new jersey.

Basically, the people that hate him, hate him. The people that love him, bought his jersey to add to their collection.

The same can be said for Kobe....people either hate him or love him. When he changed his number, the ones that loved him bought his new jersey....count me in as one who has both the 8 and 24.

It'll be interesting to see if the legend of Derrick Rose will outsell Lebron next year....lord knows that Bulls stuff is forever marketable now....

Besides the state of Ohio and people from there I don't think most people hate Lebron. But how did Rajon Rondo have the 3rd most popular jersey? Something must be wrong.

+1...not at the expense of health though.

Against the Kings too....I never bought into the fact that the Kings were somehow rivals, but it was pretty intense for them for awhile. I hope we send them off properly.

I could watch the Western Conference Finals from 2000-2003 over and over again....great time to be a Laker fan.

I never liked him as a player, only because they compared him to the greatest ever, Magic Johnson....all before he ever stepped foot on an NBA court.

You aren't the greatest point guard to have ever played the game before you even play NBA, let alone college level talent....

I used to like Lebron, just because he was fun to watch, and had a bunch of highlights. I wouldn't say I really rooted for the Cavs, just because I rarely even root for the favorites (other than the Lakers in the playoffs, since I am from LA afterall). As a clipper fan, I was really hoping he'd give a little thought to coming to LA and really make the Lakers/Clippers matchups something to watch. Makes you wonder if Lebron would've given any more thought if Blake was actually able to play his rookie year, but seems like the super friends were set to play together for a while.

But, after the whole decision fiasco, and a lot of other things, like all these reports about his entourage, and this ego he seems to have, I'm kinda glad he didn't come to LA, and I really have started hating the guy. Maybe he's just more highly scrutinized, but mostly I just don't like the idea of players obviously wanting to team up and create these superpowers.

Not me man, lol. The East was all about the Heat and maybe Boston.

I'll start hating on them if they face the Lakers in the Finals....no reason to right now though.

Not I. Even as my favorite team, I thought they'd be 4th or 5th. But here we are, possible #1 overall seed!

Robbed em, raped em, whatever. You can make it mean whatever you want it to mean. As far as I remember, the Lakers weren't colluding with the refs.

The Lakers were robbed of game 4 anyways, and the Queens had every chance to win game 7 at Arco. Free throws, 3 pointers? Maybe the Queens shoulda thought about making those and not handing it to Doug Christie to choke up some airballs.

What's done is done...the banner is hanging in Staples, and Sacto's gonna be forgotten anyways.

What a crazy possible last game in Sacramento the Kings coming back from 22 down in the 4th quarter to force overtime at least the fans got their money's worth.

What last night of the season Chicago clinches best record, Manu Ginobli hyperextended his elbow, the Lakers barely clinch the 2nd seed. Playoffs here we come.

^^I thought last year was fun, but this year is going to be great....really fun to watch. Hope it ends the same way its ended the past 2 years.

Imagine reading these headlines at the beginning of the year (and my reaction):

Chicago finished first (I wouldn't have believe this for one second)

Heat or Lakers NOT finishing first (I had an inkling the Heat would finish first)

Spurs being relevant again (Had no idea)

Boston trades Perkins (WTF are they thinking)

...all this makes for an interesting postseason...think about the questions that have to be answered....

Is Chicago legit?

Heck, are the Heat?

Are the Lakers gonna end Phil Jackson's career on a win?

Who is gonna make more noise, the Knicks or the Nuggets?

Blake Griffin tried to go out with a bang. Make sure no one forgets about him while they're enjoying the playoffs. Had to laugh at the rebound, missed shot, tip in, for the final 2 rebounds in the last like 2 seconds.

I thought Boston would get first since they were defending eastern champs and the Heat 2nd. It was a pretty close finish at the end but maybe that Perkins trade cost them a few losses. I thought Chicago would finish 3rd since they would for sure win their weak division. Def thought the Spurs would decline.
