Nothing new and truly earth-shattering...but, here's a nice comparo of Beef versus MJ: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports...7364.htmlstory

...at least graphically and with numbers. Neat. And before anyone says it, no comparison: MJ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rose >>>>>> Beef.

Awesome Slam dunk contest all around by everyone. I forgot the one dudes name, but the 7 footer that jump behind the free throw line was amazing and should of got a 50 but didnt. He jump farther than Dr. J or Jordan. The thing about slam dunk contest is that every year it gets harder to be more creative because it was all done before. We were amaze at Vince Carter dunks about a decade ago but that wont even send him to the 2nd round nowadays. Congrats to Blake for the win.

Not to take anything away from Blake, but talk about rigging the dunk contest.

Much respect to Demar Derozan though. He was the only dunker that seemed to have no gimmicks, just plain beautiful acrobatics in the air.

yea, i'm not sure blake should've made the finals, but I think he had the better 2 dunks in the finals. Once it came down to fan votes though, he was going to win.

I was sad he didn't get more playing time in the game on sunday. Yea he's a rookie, but he was the home town guy, and probably the 2nd or 3rd most popular player on the court.

I agree, I like Blake and all, but it was obvious rigged for the hometown boy. My favorite dunk was the "off the board between the legs dunk, by whats his name? "

Post Carmelo Anthony Traded to Knicks...

From ESPN...

The New York Knicks acquired Carmelo Anthony on Monday night, sources told ESPN The Magazine's senior writer Chris Broussard.

Completing the deal, Denver will get Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks' 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash while Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman will head to New York, according to the Denver Post.

Anthony wasn't at the Nuggets' practice on Monday night. Instead, the All-Star forward was in Burbank, Calif., taping a segment on "Conan."

Anthony, who has been the subject of intense speculation as Thursday's trade deadline approaches, stayed behind in Los Angeles following the NBA All-Star Game while his teammates gathered at the Pepsi Center.

Team spokesman Tim Gelt told The Associated Press that Anthony's absence was excused. Late Monday afternoon, Anthony tweeted: "Headed to Burbank to film THE CONAN SHOW."

Anthony has been the subject of trade talks ever since he declined to sign a three-year, $65 million extension with the Nuggets last summer. His biggest pursuers are the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets.

Denver got a whole team. Nyc better hope that Billups and Melo score 30 pts each. Oh yeah, team is still coached by Dantoni.

Knicks will be fine. Howard and Paul now loom larger on the Knick horizon.

there's the Clippers with 1.5 superstars They don't always win, but they are damn entertaining to watch! (but we all know Blake G. won't be there for long anyways ).

there's rumors out there that denver is looking to flip a lot of the assets they obtained by the trade deadline. It'll be interesting if they have anything else up their sleeve. Even the Clips are supposedly interested in gallo or chandler.

Curious if they're interested in keeping felton around as the starter, or if they think Lawson is ready.

It'll be interesting what the knicks can do. They now owe like 35 mil to two guys, so if they're hoping to land another piece via free agency, they're pretty limited in the moves they can make. Definitely can't take on any more long term money or hope someone is willing to take less money to play under the bright lights.

They will be screwed if they change the salary cap in the new CBA.
