Looking around for playoff tickets

Although I'm worried we're gonna have problems unless we make some changes...issue #1 for instance:

Glad we have a good defense

watch out - the Twins are 1/2 game out of first place for the entire AL lead for home advantage. Historically, we are a horrible play-off team. However, our new home-field advantage, combined with our ability to beat teams with simple fundamental baseball, we have a distinct chance at the AL title...

At the rate they're blowing games, the Phillies will waltz into the playoffs. Hopefully it will give our pitching staff some much needed time off.

And yeah, Halladay looks tired. I bet he's happy Cole is peaking and Oswold is there as well. Now if our closers could just figure out how to close it out.

It's nice having 3 number one pitchers in the rotation. If the bats stay working....a waltzing we will go.

1. Charlie Manuel is a loyalist...to a fault...and "Lidge is his guy".

2. Madson was used as a closer for a time last year and he tended to crack under the 9th inning pressure. He was great as an 8th inning set up man, but not so much in the 9th. again...

Couldn't have said it better. Madson seems to forget there are 9 innings to a baseball game.

Lidge will be superman when it counts in the playoffs. Then again, with our 3 starters, he might not even have to get off the bench.

And so happy to see Cole pitching lights out.

Oh yeah! The next three days will really tell the story. If the bats do anything...with Cole and the 2 Roys going...this should be a sweep.

I'm not gloating...I'm more -ing at them Dikings.

No one picked Da Bears to do well. Fine. They still have no O-line. But, your Dikings and your overrated/has-been "entitled" QB...? Winless?

Who picked the Vikings to do well this year? I certainly didn't. Please refer to my first post on the first page of the NFL thread.

Highly doubtful. Personally, I don't think there's a even chance he'll be back this year. Even if he could, should he? He'll have been out for close to 3 months, just how effective would he be? I think the Twins are doing a pretty damn fine job with the team they've put together in his absence.

Love to see a small market matchup between the Reds/Twins--the game needs it--although I'm sure MLB would be pissed. They'd probably be pissed too if the Rays made it as well. 8,000 People showing up to a World Series game
