How long has Aaron Rowand not been starting in San Fran...he was their opening day starter right? Did he just lose his job because of lack in production or an injury?

So is Zito going to be in the starting rotation for the NLCS? Can't believe they paid him all that coin and left him off the divisional series roster, he's been a royal bust since coming over from Oaktown.

Anyhoo, would love to see Lincecum-Halladay matchup for NLCS. H2O looks scary.

Rowand lost his job to Andres Torres about halfway through the season because of an injury I think. Then he got pushed further down the depth chart when they picked up Pat Burrell, Jose Guillen, Cody Ross, etc.

They pay Zito waaay too much to sit him during the playoffs. Same with Rowand. They'll need his arm in a best of 7.

Forgot about the TB TX game.

Cannot believe the Rangers won & that no team won at home in that series.

Congrats Texas!

Wowzers.

I honestly thought the Rays would keep it rolling.

Rangers - Yankees
Giants - Phillies

LCS should be pretty good.

No mention of Fredi managing the Braves. They announced it quick. I haven't followed the Marlins with a magnifying glass the last few years so I'm not sure if he's that good. I know a lot of people questioned his moves but managers are always 2nd guessed.

Wanted Fredi since he got fired. Loria and Ramirez are butt buddies, so you knew it was going to happen sooner or later.

Three wins under .500 with one of the worst payrolls in professional sports, and they were in the conversation every single year until the talent of other teams took them out of it.

Love it. Love it. I'll post my thoughts about Bobby at some other point.

Kinda what I figured, looking at both of their stats and number of at-bats. Like you said...a lot of money on the bench.

Same with the Reds and Aaron Harang. He hasn't done jack shit in two years while making $12.5 million per year. Although he's been a lot worse for a lot longer than Zito, and of course Zito makes more overall.

Zito was a surprise, Harang was not. Will be glad to see him off the books next year so we can put that money towards Votto!

And not to be that guy bringing up the whole umpire issue, but did you see the missed call on that play in the 6th inning that allowed Vlad to score? Guy was out by a step at first that would've been the third out (Kinsler maybe?).

More fodder for the inevitable replay debate this winter.

I just remember all the talk back in the day about him and other guys like Trey Hillman in KC not having any MLB playing experience and if that was a factor in how well they can manage..

We got screwed 3 out of the 4 games in our series by the same douche ump.

Oh well. Freddi can manage. Loved him when he was our 3BC.

Meanwhile we have a mile long managerial candidate list. God our ownership/management are douches. They asked our president, David Sampson on the local radio show why he didn't honor Bobby, and he said "We chose not to, next question"

Talk about a meltdown, holy shit it must suck to be a Rangers fan right now. At this point I think that Yankees have sucked the dicks of the baseball Gods for so long now that MLB should just cancel every season and give them the Championship because they are always going to pull a win out there asses somehow.

It's not possible for Rangers' bull pen to be that bad, is it? What a wasted quality start.

Yes, because we all know the Yankees win year-in and year-out.

Quality start by CJ Wilson completely wasted by their bullpen. The baserunning gaffes didnt help either. Im sure its known Im a Yankee fan, but even I was pissed at Kinsler. I was ready to pack it in when the 6th rolled around and we still didnt score a run. I actually fell asleep shortly after Canos HR in the 7th, but then someone accidentally called me when Gardner was at bat in the 8th so I got to see the meltdown live.

I will admit I did giggle when they panned to Nolan Ryan when it was 5-4. He was PISSED.

That 8th inning was beyond horrible. Going from getting drunk and having a good time to getting even drunker cus of the Yankee comeback cus of the fucking horrible pitching after they took Wilson out. Just horrible, epic let down...

The game today game pretty much puts this to rest.

But if you can get that deal enacted so we can always win I'd appreciate it.

Fuck this shit. We are 1-1 in the ALCS, SHOULD BE 2-0, got Clutch Lee next aka 3-0, if the Rangers don't win this shit... that is a disappointment.

Nah, the Yankees still suck dick.

Don't worry I'll do everything in my power not to make this deal happen.

Cody Ross was the man today and he bats in the 8th position, nice. I thought this series was gonna be a sweep by the Phils, glad to see that it may turn out to be a pretty good matchup. But if it wasn't for that miss called strike by the Ump when Halladay had an 0-2 count with two outs, this game might have had a different outcome. Eh, what can you do? That's baseball.

Plus, other than the complete meltdown of last nights game, the Rangers are looking pretty good too.

It was because Bobby called out Loria for firing Fredi. Which Bobby was 110% correct.

Now he's our manager. How ya like dem apples, Loria?

Oh yeah - hoping for a Ross/Fredi reunion in 2011.

Oswalt was great on the mound tonight and its good to finally see Rollins get an important hit. This should set the pace for the rest of the series...hopefully.

As a Dodger fan, I'm obligated to despise the Giants, so this is the only reason why I'm rooting for the Phils . Trust me, its hard considering they whooped us the past two seasons in the NLCS.

I wonder if Phillies pitching will continue to throw on the inside part of the plate to that perennial slugger Cody Ross....

They might just keep throwing high and inside at his face. I even called it when Ross came up to bat for the first time. "Yep, Oswalt's gonna throw at his face. No doubt"

And I would've laughed so hard is Oswalt got gunned at home...loved the "oh shit" stutter step around third
