Dickerson is already 27 and has never done anything in the majors except get hurt. He wasn't a smart player either...was always zoning out on plays and showing off it seemed like.

I don't know how much Edmonds has left but he's got playoff and WS experience and a clutch bat. Hope he can put it to good use

I planned on going to tomorrow's game but it's a stupid day game Maybe Friday against the Fish

Great brawl in the Reds/Cards game tonight...I love how Baker and Larussa can't stand one another.

Really hope I didn't just see the last play of ole Hoss's career.

If I did, then damn...what a way to go out.

Yep, that was awesome.

Nice to see Baker show a little emotion...most of the time I swear he's zoned out on Quaaludes.

I had planned on going to that game all last week and ended up not being able to, and today is a day game and I'm at work

DBacks hit back-to-back-to-back-to-back home runs off Dave Bush last night.
Pretty cool, unless you're a Brewers fan.

Two very wierd plays doomed the Rangers.

The wild pitch and the grounder that Jeter hit.

But Im not complaining

Most likely the end of Chipper's career...torn ACL and I severely doubt he'll want to rehab all the way back from that for next year.

Jose Guillen traded to Giants

They just got Mike Fontenot the other day too.

Neither will probably start, but the Giants are putting together a nice team for October.

Jose Guillen is a cancer. He was once a talented Angel as well. Now he's just a journeyman.

He needs to get his ass kicked. I hate when people get paid millions of dollars to play a game and they piss all over it.

I can see him coming into tomorrow night's game against the Phillies and hitting someone in the head.

Yeh. I hate the Phillies fans but that team just does not stop fighting. I have to respect that about them. My team would have either laid down, brought in Ollie P to pitch and died, or would have battled back and come 1 run short.

With all of the injuries they've had this year, it's a miracle that they're still in the race.

True, Guillen always has been an asshole. But be he can be a productive player.
I know he and Scoscia got into it a few times.

It has been a bad year for injuries all around. Stop crying. Look at the Red Sox. Hell, your team will at least get their players back at some point.

Carlos Zambrano always seems to have a temper. Plus I think he almost fought Derek Lee. Is this the same?

Out for the year with a torn ligament from the fight, and the Mets are looking to void his contract.

Inconsequential.
He wasn't going to finish the game anyway and the coaching staff is more concerned about maintaining their pitchers arms than they are maybe throwing a no-no.

Gardenhire even said "I would boo me too for pulling a pitcher from a no-hitter, but we have the playoffs to worry about".

If we were 15 games out of first with no hope of the playoffs, they would have left him in. Luckily, that is not the case.

Saw that...good for him. The way he talked earlier in the year I would've never imagined.

Agree, but some people were going wild about it.

Here's a good article from Joe Posnanski about it (who is one of the best baseball/sports writers around IMO...I read his stuff all the time):
