MLB: 2010 Season Discussion Thread

Hello and good riddance.
Dickerson is already 27 and has never done anything in the majors except get hurt. He wasn't a smart player either...was always zoning out on plays and showing off it seemed like.
I don't know how much Edmonds has left but he's got playoff and WS experience and a clutch bat. Hope he can put it to good use
I planned on going to tomorrow's game but it's a stupid day game Maybe Friday against the Fish

Nice to see Baker show a little emotion...most of the time I swear he's zoned out on Quaaludes.
I had planned on going to that game all last week and ended up not being able to, and today is a day game and I'm at work

Two very wierd plays doomed the Rangers.
The wild pitch and the grounder that Jeter hit.
But Im not complaining

I can see him coming into tomorrow night's game against the Phillies and hitting someone in the head.

With all of the injuries they've had this year, it's a miracle that they're still in the race.

It has been a bad year for injuries all around. Stop crying. Look at the Red Sox. Hell, your team will at least get their players back at some point.

on to the next one...
He wasn't going to finish the game anyway and the coaching staff is more concerned about maintaining their pitchers arms than they are maybe throwing a no-no.
Gardenhire even said "I would boo me too for pulling a pitcher from a no-hitter, but we have the playoffs to worry about".
If we were 15 games out of first with no hope of the playoffs, they would have left him in. Luckily, that is not the case.

Inconsequential.

Here's a good article from Joe Posnanski about it (who is one of the best baseball/sports writers around IMO...I read his stuff all the time):
