By the way, thanks for proving my point by bringing the Mets into this. Again proving that you just can't grasp concepts. This has nothing to do with the Mets. They suck and shouldn't even be allowed on a golf course. Enough for you? They SUCK. Can we stop talking about the Mets now?

This is about how much I hate the Yankees and how you can't understand that some people just aren't going to like the same team as you. I want them to fail and I want any team playing them to win because I can't stand arrogance of the team and especially can't stand the arrogance of their fans.
I'll type slow for you and use small words.

I am not talking about teams. You admitted you were glad a person was hurt and hoped his injury was severe because he is a Yankee.

That makes you lower than pond scum.

If you're not talking about teams, why did you say this?

And yea, we should all weep and pray for the multimillionaire baseball player who pulled a hammy.

Your arguments are pretty sad. Stop changing the subject and trying to make me look like a bad person just because you have managed to piss off everyone in the thread. God knows how many people you piss off in real life.

I don't have to do anything to make you look like a horrible person. You do it all yourself.

I said that multiple posts back, not when I said you most likely were glad he was injured.

I am certain you are in no way curtailing your vocabulary using small words.

Now go home and get your shine box.

Don't want to say that my Phillies are done but it's going to take a herculean effort from Halliday and some better hitting to get us to game 6. The Giants appear to be hungrier at this point and to clinch the pennent in front of their home crowd tonight is going to be a major motivator.

I can't believe I even have to say this...

You do understand that "Go home and get your shine box" is a quote from a movie which applies as an insult to a particular person who used to humbly shine shoes for a living and no longer needs to, right?

When you use it on me, not only is it not funny, it just plain doesn't make sense, as I have never shined shoes. Nor have I had any previous embarrassing employment.

I'm not even messing with you at this point, I am really trying to help you. You sound like a moron by repeatedly using that phrase.

It's ok, you can say it.

Halladay certainly can get it done, but the hitters can't. They haven't hit against moderate pitching all year, let alone a great pitcher.

The Phillies need to re-evaluate, take a good look at what they really have, and move on from there.

Great game last night...seemed like Manuel blew it a few times when he didn't make some substitutions while Bochy has been great. Hard to believe some of those small trades and pickups by the Giants have them this close to the WS.

Didn't see much of the other game though.

Texas will clinch tomorrow. Bye bye NY.

While I don't like the Giants it would be a good series against the Rangers.

No one's talking about Halladay pitching 7 strong with a groin pull?
The man is a monster. Bats are startng to wake back up. Philly never had good luck in San Fran. Back to CBP we go. South Philly is gonna be nuts this weekend.

If the bats stay hot and Oswalt and Hamels pitch the way they're supposed to, we'll see ya at the WS. Hope Texas wraps it up. Would love to see H20 battle Cliff.

I want to show the llamas out there that money doesn't buy championships. Spankees have a TON of talent but it doesn't make a difference if they can't work as a team and put it all together.

I loved the comment that Swisher made that he can't wait to hit Cliff Lee. Hit being the optimal word.

One step at a time though. How about a win on Saturday, otherwise the Phils will be on vacation.

How about the Halladay death stare at the end of the 1st...imagine the mess if a brawl broke out and he got ejected

Some other observations that might only interest me

- I actually like hearing Mitch Williams' commentary...reminds me of Jeff Brantley, Reds broadcaster and also former pitcher. I think he could do better than Smoltz and Darling, and especially McCarver.

- I hate those DIRECTV commercials they keep playing over and over with the dart blowing guy...reminds me of why I hate watching TV

No team should want to play the most successful franchise in the history of baseball in the World Series. Clearly, they know how to get it done.

Mitchiepoo is pretty funny. He is a down home kind of guy who just says what ever is on his mind. He still hears about the homerun ball he threw to Joe Carter in the '93 World Series.

he does seem like a good guy, but that was one of the greatest moments of my life!

to be honest, seeing and hearing that call almost brings a tear to my eye to this day. when you've only won 2 world series championships, they probably mean a lot compared to teams that win them more often

Yeah. I'm sure it was a time of great rejoicing in Toronto after that.

I can't complain. I've been enjoying some pretty entertaining baseball around here for the last several years.
The Phils better force a game seven though.

Honestly I could see the Phillies sweeping the Yanks if they end up in the WS.
