Umm, can we have Roy back once the Phill's win the WS?
Please
And not to harp on it but the Phill's would have been even better with a Doc, Lee 1-2. That would have been something.

Congrats to Doc! Got home from work in time to see the last 6 outs. It was as dominant a pitching performance as one could hope for. I hope the Phils can win it all for him. He deserves a ring.

Yanks looked solid, way to take away 1st game at Target. Tex came through in the clutch.
Grats to Halladay. Always been a fan of his. He came through in his first post-season opportunity.

Not gonna pretend like I've kept up with baseball, but SF fans have been going crazy. Good for you guys, been years since a SF team made it to the playoffs.

The Rays on the otherhand.....they're not looking too good.

I'm pretty surprised. The way they were playing down the stretch had me worried and I figured Price and the rest of their pitching staff were good to go. Lee is money in the playoffs though, that's why they brought him over from Seattle.

The Rangers are looking VERY good. I think they will represent the AL in the World Series.
Its up to Garza to keep their season alive.
As far as the Yankees go, I like Hughes but I dont think he's going to take first-half form tomorrow. I think its going to be second-half Hughes, the one that gives up that big inning. I hope Im wrong though. I like the kid and he did a hell of a job last year in the bullpen.

TB has had the worst team batting ave all year. If your pitching they aren't hitting. The only reason they won the east was they hit the Yankees when the pitching was a mess. The Yankees were 12-15 in Sept.
Rivera 3 blown saves? That's just unheard of.

Yep, but a team can advance in a best of 5 playoff series with mediocre hitting and stellar pitching. I reference Lincecum's gem as case in point. Granted Shields and Garza gave up the long ball a lot during the regular season, but in a 5 game series I would be confident in the Rays rotation and relatively solid relief with Soriano, Balfour and Benoit. Now if you're making a comparison with the Phillies' rotation, it's like JV vs. varsity.
