I'm not ready to bow already...just hoping for a good series

We're a resilient bunch ya know

Any time I need inspiration in the baseball world I think of the '90 Reds...not a human in the world thought they'd sweep the A's

You can have the Yanks, we have a mental block against them. I did get my tickets for game 1 and game 2 today though!

Braves don't have scrubs for pitching either. It's just a question if we remember to pack the bats.

Lowe turned it up once the calendar hit September.

This might be the worst stretch of time to be a Met fan since I have been one. We are in horrible shape and have tons of work to do. It's pretty bad.

I think the Wilpons will spend the money. The problem I see with Torre is will he want to manage long enough to rebuild the Mets to the point where they will win. At his point in his career, I would guess he would want an "easy manage." This team, in this city, will be anything but.

Although the game times of the Rangers/Rays series is fucking retarded. How come we are the ones that get screwed? 12:30 today, 1:30 tomorrow? What the fuck. Fuck you MLB. Not like we would loved to have watched it when we get off work...

Middle/west coast bitching about the start times is old. You get to see the end of the games after you get off of work, or you can come in early and leave early.

For us, shit doesn't end until 1am. Try explaining that to the boss.

Simple - you are not the Yankees.
The DFW/TSP markets are less than 20% of the New York market. Furthermore, everyone wants to watch the Yankees - their fans are spread out throughout the country like no other team. Even Yankee haters are more interested in the Yankee games. If the tables were turned, you'd have primetime and we'd be screwed - there is no doubt about it.

I don't like it anymore than you, but from MLB's standpoint, it's just good business.

I guess good start times are one good thing about playing the Phillies...I think I read that Cincinnati is 27th of the 32 markets :shakehead

Unfortunately I'm going to miss pretty much all of tonight's game because of a test for school...so pissed

Are we going to see a no-hitter?

Three outs away, we'll see.

Halladay owns the Reds right now.

Absolutely. 21 wins in the regular season. 2 no hitters. Done.

I still miss Cliff. I'm glad to see him doing so well.

I Don't want to count the wins before they come, but the Phillies fornt three are pretty dominant.

I would like to see more Phillies hitting though. Rollins, Howard, Werth all took the collar. They're gonna have to hit. We can't count on complete game shut outs.

Cy Young voting doesn't count postseason. Doesn't matter, he had it anyway.

Can we call it front 4 for this series??? Since Halladay is coming back for (if needed ) game 4 on full rest...

But I agree, although they can win with part of their order hitting, we need it through the line up. It's only gonna get harder as playoff rounds go on.
