What's the story behind these jerseys? I saw them on the highlights briefly but didn't think too much of them from initial impressions...

Vancouver's original pro hockey team, the millionaires, were founded 100 years ago. They brought Vancouver it's only Stanley Cup in 1915 so they're pretty much legends around here. So I guess the jerseys were to honor them for their history and to commemorate Vancouver's hockey history.

Ah. Well, they clearly were distracted by their retro jerseys because the Wings slapped them around last night.

Seems like Gillis needs to maybe address the goaltending issue since I think Louuuu being around has clearly become a distraction. The Canucks are way better than that record of theirs. If Kesler is going to be out again for awhile, maybe trade Louuuu for a decent C...?

I hope all the road teams the Wings visit on their farewell to the Money Moogelino Division wear retro jerseys.

See this is why you're not a GM. Other than vs the Wings, Lou has a stellar record and GAA so there goes your so called distraction theory.

Besides, both goalies have quite the dumb and dumber routine going. Its mildly amusing for Canucklehead fans who know they've got little chance of making any waves this post-season.

Great weekend by the pens, 2 big wins at home, was awesome being at the game yesterday and seeing Fleury get the franchise record shutout.

Another good win against Boston, even after losing our top D-man.
Nice sucker punch by Lucic to James Neal He's so classy...

Yeah, watched the Pens/Bruins tilt. Entertaining. Goes to show (yeah, that's to you, Count) that a hard-played match-up does NOT need a bunch of goals to make it entertaining.

I actually got kinda bored watching the Hawks run up the score last night.

Big match-up coming up later this week against the Ducks for Chicago.

Wearing Millionaire gear you say?.......Will that help the Nucks to be able to buy The Cup?......'cause they sure won't be able to win one.

I think he meant team distraction. The Canucks aren't exactly running away with the division.

But I agree that Yummy could never be a GM.

Look dingis. If Burkie can get hired as a GM and trade away everyone for Kessel, I can be a GM.

Besides, the NHL is due for a GM. Such a racist, elitist club. Heck, there aren't any , , or GM in the NHL either!

^ The Caps and Flyers don't make sense to me in regards to their struggles. They should be way better than their records.

...but then again the Kings took all the talent out of the Flyers, and won The Cup.

So I guess it's understandable

Kings acquired Richards, Carter, & Gagne....then win The Cup.

...and just to be nice the Kings throw Gagne back to the Flyers....and they act like nothing ever happened.

No good deed goes unpunished, eh?

Pshaw, just change your handle to Yumcha~Bowman, then have your old man brush all other execs aside. Bingo - Stanley Cup!

My oldest just turned 5, his first NHL game will be the Sunday matinee on the 31st.

dom: Your savior is on the way.....maybe.

21. Last week, Tim Leiweke was deposed at president and CEO of AEG, parent company of the Los Angeles Kings, the Galaxy, the Staples Centre, etc., etc. It's a massive conglomerate. Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment is looking for a new CEO. Is he interested? The belief is yes, but it's hard to quantify how serious it is and how MLSE compares to other offers he might be getting. Leiweke and Dean Lombardi didn't always see eye-to-eye, but they did find enough common ground to bring the franchise its first Stanley Cup since...1967.

Nice to see the new kid Toffoli get a goal and an assist in his NHL second game.
Kid looks perfectly in place on the line with Carter and Richards.

Is he the real deal?
Time will tell, be he sure looks pretty good two games in.

I guess we'll have to go back to plan B and trade 1st rounders for the next 6 years.
