I'll bet your boy is planning the parade down Michigan Ave as we speak fo' realz!
The Hawks are playing unreal right now. Given the short season, it may be a good thing...but, come playoffs, much can happen.

I do have to say, at this point, I'm very impressed with the streak. It is remarkable...probably won't see anything like this again for a very long time.

Still, I care more about the playoffs. None of this will matter without the Cup.

And while everything Waldorf says is valid, he's just hatin' cuz the Hawks' no-name goalies are outplaying all the namebrands out there so far.

Hawks are on another planet. Wow. If they can sustain this all season, they are going to be scary in the playoffs.

Depends on what stats. But, I like Ryan and Benn. Lucic is good too if PIM is accounted for.

NHLPA Executive Director Don Fehr issued the following statement this evening:

“After discussions with the Executive Board, the NHLPA has given consent to realignment, to be re-evaluated following the 2014-15 season.”

So I'm supposed to feel good about Colton Orr?

We're 0-7 vs Boston this season and last.

If Boston and Chicago continue on this pace it would be a treat to watch those 2 do battle in the finals. Both teams are wiping the floor with the competition right now but IMO, Boston is the best team in the league.

Hmm, I think you winless in your last 8 vs Boston however the Leafs did snap that "over a full calender year" scoring drought they had going vs the B's. Thats a positive step right?

Big difference between Boston and Chicago right now is the B's are finding ways to lose in the 3rd period, Chicago is finding ways to win in the 3rd. In reality it's worse than that as the B's are losing games they were winning, Chicago is winning games they were losing or tied.

Boston is clearly the cream of the Eastern Conference so far. Given the full-retard strike, we'll never know how the Western powers match up against the East top squads unfortunately. I would've LOVED to see a Chicago/Boston game or Chicago/Pens game...

Seriously, I would've LOVED to see the Cansucks line up against the Bruins in a regular season tilt. That would've been great theatre watching the Bruins crush that team of cheapshots...

I just posted this on my facebook:

Great run Hawks! Now that the pressure is off, you can truly focus on the matter at hand, and that is, going the distance!

^ At the end of the day, no one cares unless you win the last game of the season. So, yeah...the Cup is all that matters (for any team).

...well, except the Oilers. Talk about failboat for that team.

Was definitely a good run for you guys. I am just glad to see the Avs play two good games back to back for once even if they only won one of them. Hopefully it is the start to a turn around for them.
