Jeremy Jacobs was in the Bruins pro shop last night handing out free food vouchers to fans in a feeble attempt to pay them off after he wrecked half a season of Hockey.

You can hand out all the free food you want Mr Burns, we all still think you're evil.

B's looked good though.

Looks like after 2 short weeks Dave Nonis has cone down with blue and white disease. He's given Joffrey Lupul a 5 year 26.75 million extension. The team has sucked forever yet all these bone heads can do is fall in love with any stiff that manages 50 points while wearing blue and white and at minimum hand out a 5 year - 25 million dollar deal.

Never mind the constant trading of 1st round pics or the terrible free agent signings. It's the constant falling in love with there own players that never get them close to the playoffs that is the teams downfall. Is Lupul a nice player? Sure. Is he worth 5+ mill a year? Fawk no.

What did you expect, he's a protege of Burke and even more prone to being a yes man to the guys who sign his paycheck. Look at the bright side, at least the new CBA prevented teh leaves from signing him for 13 years at a cap hit of 7 million per season.

He Statler, I told you your birdies were gonna win.

That Brady Doty took out your boy Carcillo for another month or so.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

...at least he got to play in one game
Maybe him and Torres can hang out and swap some stories.

On a more serious note: Boy the refs looked about as rusty and hungover as the Kings.
Other than the call on Lewis, there was a ton of ticky tack in that game.

Maybe the Kings are going back to their regular season ways: 2 goal maximum per game.

...all will be right as rain when Kopidor and Mitchell return to the line-up.

I forgot that banner ceremonies are usually the kiss of death for the home team.

Quick looked like the second coming of Beachball...I assume it's just rust and lack of game-action.

Birdies first goal was a laser. Mad props to your boy on a great shot.

Like I stated before, I had a feeling the Kings would lose.

I dare say they may drop a couple more before hitting their stride.

2 games, 2 losses. Should be a good set up for a rematch with the B's tomorrow night. I'm expecting the B's to start the Thornton line, they can get the aggression out right away and then everyone can get down to playing hockey.

I'm pretty sure the Rangers will come out with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove.

It was a joke shame the cup doesn't come with a sense of humor.

Nash and the rest of the 40+ scorers are a collective -2.

Callahan -3 Our offense is atrocious right now & Hank has not been Hank.

Oh and they almost always suck at the beginning of the season.

I'd just like to see 60 minutes of good hockey. I'm a dreamer, I dream.

Hawks look pretty decent 3 games into the season. Still early, but, it is nice to see them beat 3 good teams.

Let's see they sustain this quality of play for the entire season and into the playoffs (if they make it!)...

Then, maybe, it'll be the Hawks vs. Leaves in the Cup final with the Leaves sweeping Chicago in 4!

You probably know this but the hangover is very much a real thing.

And to compound matters, the layoff and the fact all teams have the games versus Sacramento (the champions) circled on their calendar makes the games even tougher.

But, no whining from you...at least Sacramento was not gutted after winning the Cup with 2/3rds required to change over.

Who knows....maybe Deano is wrong. Perhaps he should have swapped out a few pieces. The team is the same team that limped into the playoffs in 8th place....barely. It's the same team that at best could score 2 goals a game.

Time will tell. Our D is the walking dead with Mitchell and Greene out.

Somebody put a message in a bottle and throw it out to see so that it gets to "dry island" where Carter and Richards are. Tell them the season started 2 games ago, and it's time to start playing hockey.

....and Pancakes: Thanks for returning to your old form....clearly the alien being that inhabited your body in the playoff has left, and returned to the mother ship.

meh....more of the same Shannnanananban will either pass out a way over the top disciplinary action, or something crazy short of what would be expected.
