Did Lee Harvey Oswald shoot the puck? That would be one hell of a u-turn considering it landed outside the net.

They played for their life yesterday too. Should be interesting...I honestly (and no, I'm not Jonesi-like for superstition in sports) believe it is too little too late for Chicago.

At best, they can stretch it to 6 games. If only Bolland was healthy at the start of the series, the Hawks could've rolled 4 proper lines...

Am I wrong that offensive players are not allowed in the crease?

The winning goal was scored by a player 100% standing in the paint.

That ended when the Sabres got screwed back in the 90's and Joe Nieuwendyk got a goal that theoretically shouldn't have counted.

Your wrong in that players are allowed to be in the crease for goals. Like black label said, that stupid rule was removed in the nineties.

He was 100% standing in the crease when he pushed the puck in. It does not matter because the Rangers blew the lead allowing the game to go to ot & the Caps will be eliminated in the coming round(s)

you are allowed to score a goal in the crease, as long as you don't interfere with the goaltender.

In the crease but no where near the player who scored and wasn't touched by him. Like rounder said you can be in the crease, you just can't interfere with the goalie.

Did you see the play?

The puck ended up in the crease. The player STANDING IN THE CREASE put it in the net.

As has been established it matters not as the crease rule is dead, Rangers blew a 3-0 lead and then allowed this mess of a goal however the goal was scored by a player that was standing in the crease at the time he caused the puck to enter the net.

As I said before, it would have been kinder for the Rangers to just not make the playoffs.,

Your team has more depth than the Rangers. And they also are against the Sharks...so, well...I think there's a better chance. And it is only 2-1...

NY...well, it's against the Capitals who appear "different" this year. My vote as the team to recover is your Kings.

I watched the OT periods and yes the player was in the crease but, he skated there innocently going behind the goal tender without ever coming into contact with the goalie.

Had he clipped the goalie on is way in I'd say you have a case. Lundqvist just let it get past him and gave the Caps a gift on a silver platter.

Looks to me, he had one foot at the time it was scored, just second before that he belly flopped on the ice.

Yes, Jups was more of a status update, had no !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in it..

Although it may have been the 20K fans chanting "can you hear us now" to Boudreau when they were up 3-0 That could have had a severe jinx impact also.

for more evidence of jinx see the avatar Yumachacha gave me on my bday.. Hawks fans worldwide can thank him..
