Seems pretty fair for 3rd round pick. Or at least on par with how things are going this year.

The Bruins quietly picked up Shane Hnidy yesterday. The Sheriff is back in Beantown.

With the signing of Kovy they're going back to the Euro pens of the late 90's/early 2000. No more fighting. Going to talk things out on the ice.

So who you watching today Jonsei? SportsNet or TSN?

Its like a war between those two up here. Kypresos tweeted "those fuckers at TSN" the other day. Its getting ugly.

Dvorak for Bergfors and Rissmiller Atlanta seems to get the better of the deal. Can't believe Bergfors is being moved already.

TSN > Sportsnet.

Makes me wonder why these networks don't push the NHL for a Sat/Sun trade deadline day. I bet that's coming.

TSN seems more politically correct. Sportsnet tends to tell it how it is.

Would prefer it on a Sunday especially now that the NFL is over. Would be awesome to have this on a weekend! I like your thinkin!

Apparently Stephen Weiss will only waive his no trade to go to the Leafs.

Does this guy own a TV, radio or read?

I picked up the feed for the B's vs Canucks game Saturday night and saw something interesting during the National antherms. During the singing of Oh Canada, the singer got about one line in and just held the mic up to the air and had the arena take over. Since I rarely get ot see Canuck games, I was curious is this is par for the course there or was this a one off that just happened.

I thought it was a pretty cool display of national pride (much nicer than when Montreal boos the Star Spangled Banner) and it seemed very spontaneous as if the singer just realized how loud the crowd was singing along and just decided to let them have the 2nd verse to themselves.

Assume it's a move to give Keith a chance to take a break. Playing 30 minutes a game is going to burn him out! But a 2nd round pick.. meh..

Yea two 1st rounders and a 2nd or 3rd seems high to me too.

Wonder what they're asking for Hemsky if it's higher than that!

Upside...the Kings did not give up any roster players.

...and Teubert plays D....and the Kings have PLENTY of D.

I'd love to know to what the guys on TSN and Sportsnet were talking about all day. I'll guess Jonsei can fill me in when he wakes up. Or is done analyzing the John Mitchell for a 7th rounder trade.

Holy...I almost fell off the treadmill at the gym when I saw that headline blare across the screen.

I think Penner will do good in LA but, what a steep price.

The good thing for LA is that Penner is no longer asked to be a go-to guy which he was miscast in Deadmonton as...

So, hopefully, he'll make a decent 2nd-line player for the Kings, er LA Oilers.

Mostly ...a lot of over analysis IMO. But, hey...clearly the Beaver-lovers in Canada drink it up since it is like an 8 hour show.

it's funny b/c they were pissed.. They're like we like player for player trades I don't know what these teams are thinking Saying how bad edmonton trade was and just couldn't bring themselves to say the teams are rebuilding and can buy players in the off season. They just didn't have anything to analyze b/c it was all picks. It was pretty amusing.
