Hockey: News and Discussion Thread
Interesting. Interesting.
Never stands in front of the net to grab garbage goals (uses stick handling and agility to make plays, like a retard), doesn't hang his head in shame after scoring, brings excitement to a sport that is this close ----> <---- to folding from lack of interest mostly due to "marquis" players who play a boring style and have a cardboard personality.

Talking about hockey with Americans is like talking about English literature with a Golden Retriever.

Look at you, a man with a Robot fascination actually married....a woman. It happens.

And who's tired of Pierre McGuire and his bazillion versions of the Team Canada roster...?

Keep taking cheap shots, sooner or later it will catch up with you
Same exact knee to knee hit he put on Gonchar in the playoffs last year that you said wasn't dirty At least they called this one kneeing and gave him a game misconduct.
Let's bring back this gem
Ovy and Malkin were both out with shoulder injuries then, now what? This dirtball is out injuring himself and others looks like the glass bottle of douche is pretty fragile to me
Haha I know you guys will say I'm biased but I didn't think it was an intentionally dirty hit. Was it bad? yes. Should he be fined and suspended? yes. Did he intend to injure? no.
I think he's been going too far with some of his hits and he basically got what he deserved: a potentially career ending knee injury. Now everyone who is not a Caps fan can celebrate.

Ovie needs to play smarter when hitting. No one is ever going to consider him one of the greats if he injures people.
Trying to make a serious point using an obviously sarcastic comment (sarcasm is clear because I'm overtly a Malkin fan) makes your debate skills either really weak or just dim-witted. You pick.

So then you really don't think Ovechkin is dirty, you think it's unfortunate that he was injured, and you think challenging how good he is because he got injured is absolutely ridiculous? Or do you just not understand what sarcasm is?

Hockey's a serious sport, man. Serious.

Kinda just wish the guy running the League would keep trying to take it towards slapstick so often...

chips and smokes, lets go
That's what I'm thinking. No one wants to see him out for an extended period anyway.
Also worth mentioning, Crosby's goal last night was amazing. Backhand, short side, top corner, from pretty much the faceoff dot. Great skill.
