So, if Blake is the new GM who is never wrong, here's the rub: Kings trade the guy they traded at the deadline to help them in making the playoffs (oops) and then flips for a 4th rounder.

But, the Hawks, who are in cap hell traded Darling for a 3rd rounder. So, what's up with that? I know...Blake got the 4th rounder ON PURPOSE. He still won out on the trade and Hawks lost.

Ah, sucks cabby! Who knows, the oilers might be joining the Rangers on the golf course tomorrow. But I sincerely hope not.

Congrats, underdog! Even though you weren't even an underdog. I'm suing for false advertisement

If they played a series up to their ability I'd be bummed but it would be what it is. But they let the Sens back in, in two out of four games and in this last game until the third never really appeared.

I didn't think they could really really disappoint me but between the sh!tty play and bowing out on my day, it's official.

They broke my heart, Fredo.

Was there ever any doubt the Caps would lose Game 7...?

Anyways, Pens should be able to beat the Sens...I think they are repeating. Remarkable feat in this cap era. Strangely...without Deano as their GM. Holy crap.

Try not to be...Oilers are a surprise and to have taken the Ducks to the brink is a huge bonus. They made it 1-year early...and have been THE surprise of the NHL this playoffs. No debate there. Enjoy the ride and hopefully Edmonton wins. I just hope this goes to triple OT even if I have an 8AM presentation...

It's just hard to swallow. We had a great year, but I'm still sad. It's just been a very long time. But hey... at least we outlasted the Hawks and Rangers... so that's good for something, right?

It always stings when your team gets ousted. But, seriously, the Oilers in the eyes of everyone had no business in the playoffs this year...they made it and completely out-performed EVERYONE'S expectations and then got past the Sharks and took the Ducks to the brink.

Oilers are ahead of schedule and if Sharelli continues to build on this and the team grows, I see them being the new kids on the block in the Western Conference. As of right now though, the road to the Cup goes through Pittsburgh. If Sid is healthy, I don't see who can beat them...but, Nashville has been impressive...just do not quite have the pedigree.

Pens!

That was a nerve-wracking game 7, especially when the Craps came out hard in the first 10 minutes or so, but the Pens played smart hockey and looked like the team that I expected them to be. The last 20 mins was definitely stressful with the 1-0 lead until we got the second one. Definitely looking forward to the Ottawa series. I'm sure Methot's poor pinky will be the main topic of conversation for the duration.

I hope the Preds win in 4, and permanently disable Perry and Kesler while they're at it.

No, I'm not bitter at all. What are you talking about?

Actually I'm kind of happy the playoffs are over for the oilers. I can get back to a normal sleeping routine again and severely cut down on my alcohol consumption

Not gonna lie, from a health perspective, I had a little sigh of relief

Much faster than the Kings. I found them to be a very heavy team that just beat the opposition into submission...but, speed was not their forte.

For me, they remind me of the Hawks...that D is freaking impressive.

It's called "role".

In Toronnah, they were misplaced and miscast. This is hockey 101 and heck, even business 101. Some people are not meant for certain roles. But, in supporting roles on teams where the system caters to their strengths, look out. Kudos to the Sens and Pens on knowing what to do with Sloppy Seconds and Fillerup.
