Edmonton won game 2 against the Ducks... But I'll be the first to admit they absolutely shouldn't have
the Ducks out shot them 2-1, they out hit them, they won more face offs, they had more scoring chances, etc. Talbot won that game for Edmonton.
However, the Ducks are one seriously dirty team. Holy fuck, I can't believe what those pricks do on the ice. What I can't believe more is the amount of shit the refs let them get away with. Like, blatantly dirty plays. Right in front of the officials. Don't get me wrong, I know it's playoff hockey and the oilers get away with dirt too, but not like the Ducks. They take it to another level.
Oh well. Oilers are up 2-0 so far, and they're coming back home to some of the loudest and proudest fans. Hopefully that spurs them on to win again. The Ducks are a team to reckon with, though. They can still win this series, even if they are behind two games. And that's scary.

In fairness, any pic cropped and shot from a certain angle can look damning. In the replays, I saw the same thing the league did. It was in the sequence of a hockey play and Sid got caught off balance. Niskanen didn't intentionally chop him in the nuts and he doesn't have a bad rep even as a former teammate.
But to your point, nobody wants to see a player go down with a concussion, star or otherwise. It would be a shame if Crosby's out for the balance of the series/playoffs.

My complaint was more with before that, Ovy sticks Sid in the head and trips him, which led him to fall right into Nisky's stick. However, as a hockey play does not entail raising your stick parallel into someone's face

Thanks man, it's hard to see anyone get hurt, especially the best player on your team. The only way the Craps had a chance in this series is to hurt Sid. If they do go on and eventually win the cup, there will be an asterisk next to it since they took out our best player to get there
