What a game last night. Congrats to the Pens but I am most impressed with Anderson's play really. He has improved a lot since the few years he played in Colorado.

This, so much this.... In the end, it was a great game and a great result. Ottawa was a tough opponent, but in the end the better team won!

Pittsburgh definitely road on Murrays back last night. I don't really feel they deserved to win that game but stole it rather. They better step it up or I don't think they will have a chance.

Rinne is so elite, but he allows 4 goals on 9 shots
Pens definitely didn't play their best game, but the end result is what matters and that's 1 down and 3 more to go!

I thought the Pens stole one. Didn't play a very good game but still won...which well, is important when going after the Cup...gotta have some luck to it. We'll see what happens in Game 2 but it's only a series when the home team loses one.
I guess the consolation for the Preds is that they were down 3-0 after their no-name/name-brand goalie gave up a FG and still came back...WITHOUT their top offensive player in Ryan Jo. So, if the Pens continue to play like this in Game 2, Preds have a good shot at evening up the series...
Provided Rinne does not pull a Ben Scrivens.

The Pens owned all but the first 5min of the first period and all the third period it seemed. Thought they were going go get beat in the 2nd period as they looked to have fallen back to playing like game 1 but Murray kept them in it. Overall much better game for Pittsburgh. I think if they play that way they will win again.

Oh, it's been horrid, or non-existent.... I feel like Nashville is trying to figure out how many times a game they can run our goalie in the head and get away with it...

They defintely looked more like themselves in game 5. Hoping we can continue the tradition and win the cup on the road. My heart can't handle a third game 7 this season, as much as I'd love to be there to see them lift the cup in person...
Weirdest playoffs this year is the number of blowouts...
Still, it was interesting to see the Pens roar back like that and also interesting to see that Rinne has some mental block to playing in Pittsburgh.
Also interesting I guess is the number of games FOLLOWING a blowout...the losing team from the blowouts usually come back with a win. So, if that's the trend, I fully expect and hope this goes to Game 7. And for Game 7, I want it to go to quadruple OT.
And just for poops and giggles, I want the GWG to be some sorta interference-related or offside drama just because...it's the NHL.

So, yeah...hopefully a Game 7 is forced and it is a 4-3 game that is decided in quadruple OT.
