Had a great time at the Rangers/Blue Jackets game. Reminded me of Stars games... dominate a period but don't score, get dominated the next period and losing, then turn on the heat in the third.
I really liked the bar stool seats and my wife and I both enjoyed the game. The only thing the Stars definitely have better over the Rangers is we have ice girls.. not ice guys.. to clean the ice during TV breaks. I also like those t-shirt cannons.. would like to see those in Dallas.

he was... and he sucked. He has 1 point in 14 games. Not even a goal. Just dead weight on the ice.
While Cammalleri is no savior, he's at like 7 points in 14 games. Those are 6 desperately needed points the Oilers need at this point. I think it was a smart move by the Oilers... I can't believe anyone picked Jokinen up. That and Cammalleri is old.. he won't be around for long. I think it was a safe bet by the Oilers.
My only beef with Cammalleri is that he used to play for Calgary
on another note... Oilers spanked the Golden Knights 8-2 last night

I just took a look at Hall and Eberle...aside from yesterday's supernova against the expansion squad with no goalies, I wonder if Sharelli regrets trading away the latter especially. Hall had to get you guys the d-man...but, Strome does not look like a good fit? Obviously, there are also cap numbers too at play but man, I would say Edmonton misses Eberle's points now.
Hall had to go no matter what. Yo can't have two alpha males in the same locker room. Hall and McDavid showed they couldn't gel, and it wouldn't change. Each one wanted to lead the team and whoever came second would become bitter. I'm sorry, but there is no way that could've worked. So you keep hall but then get rid of mcdavid. It's either, or. Not both.
Also, with how absent the Oilers secondary scoring has been, getting cammalleri was a huge gain. Jokinen was a good play maker, but not necessarily a points scorer. Cammalleri shoots more than makes plays. By the end of it, we had a number of guys who made plays, but no one to actually shoot. It really wasn't working.
I agree, both are old and aren't much to consider these days... but jokinen was reaaaaaaaaaaaaally unproductive. Seriously, 14 games and only 1 assist and zero goals? Another reason we got jokinen was for his defensive abilities... which became abhorrently absent once the season started. Sports radio here has been going bananas. People don't understand how we came out so much better in that deal. They're all thinking cammalleri is cursed or something, hence why the kings wanted him gone
Either way, cammalleri is no savior. Not even close. But if we had him from the start of the season, we could have won a game or two or three more, if we had his additional six points over jokinen.

^ Per my post, I completely acknowledge trading Hall. That's why I had said "latter" in regards to Ebs. Anyways, trades are trades...systems, personnel, and etc. play a role. I'm just saying that the shocking offensive issues for the Oil seems to be odd and considering the lack of punch on the wings, was wondering if Ebs going was a bad trade now esp. with Strome being average at best? Dunno.
If Calamari works out, great. I just don't know about his health issues and if he can keep up with McDavid. Hope it works out. It's almost TGiving weekend for the US and well, if Edmonton continues to be outside of the playoff spot, I have low optimism for your crew making it into the dance. And seriously, that's nutbar.

Dafuq. Did the Oil let St. Loo score a TD and 2-point convert yesterday!?
K...I disagreed when many pundits/early-season predictions had them in the Final. But, as one of the worst teams is insanity. Seriously, are they f*cking looking for another first overall pick!???

Seriously. 8-3 loss, last night? And you know what caused it all? The goalie getting scored on TWICE within the first THREE SHOTS. It destroyed any amount of confidence they had, and the backup goalie endured the remaining 6 goals. Cam Talbot doesn't seem to handle the pressure very well. It was one thing when we were winning.. but now that there is a struggle, he's crumbled.
But it's not just his fault. The holes in the lineup have become very obvious, and one line can't carry an entire team.
I'm done with this team. I've only been watching hockey since 2005 (ironically, the year they went to the cup- BUT- I started watching at the start of the season, and they barely even made it into the playoffs that year, so I'm no band wagon fan), but seriously, in 12 years, they had one pretty good season and that's it. I need to start drawing the line somewhere. I've endured 11 years of immense sadness. So on that note, anyone got a team I should start following? Can't be Pittsburgh. They've been too successful in the last two years for me to start following

Not sure what is going on in Edmonton.

Game was a ton of fun, I'll post some pics this weekend. Faksa with the Natty Hatty out of nowhere, it was a lot of fun. The Dallas fans were going back and forth with the Vegas fans all night, it was a lot of fun

Yep, fun one to be at, even if the good guys didn't win in the end. It was good back and back hockey for 60 mins, up until that last goal that bounced off Letang, I was really hoping for overtime

Also, correct me if I am wrong, the Rangers issue is defense so how is trading their best defenseman a good idea????

Seriously, WTFBBQ is deeply wrong with that franchise. Only the Oilers...ONLY the Oilers in the NHL can draft arguably one of the best players ever and if not, the second Sid and end up being . STILL.
Pens get Sid and improve. Win Cups.
Hawks get Kane...who is not even in the same stratosphere as McDavid or Sid...improve. And Win Cups.
You can argue that Toews/Malkin contribute but they are not #1 overalls which we can use Dry-sigh-toe as the Oiler equivalent.
Seriously, Mr. Rexall should just sell the team and whoever buys, do a complete 100% overhaul of everyone involved in hockey operations. And oh, sacrifice a goat or something.
