Dude. no offense but you really need to grow thicker skin. Anytime one of us says something somewhat negative about the Rangers your immediate reaction is something along the lines of "Presidents Trophy, Your team sucks"

Since when was having winning team a per-requestsite for being allowed to comment in Hockey Talk? By your logic, I should never be posting since I'm a Leaves fan. Its a game, we're all going to comment on bad performances from other teams.You need to suck it up and deal with it and stop being so defensive.

And oh ya, the President Trophy and $1.75 will get a Ranger a cup of coffee at the local Donut Shop. It hasn't meant a thing in 25 years, since the Rangers were the last Presidents trophy winner to also win the cup. So please stop gloating about it.

From what I've read yes. And they were reportedly led by none other than Ilya Kovalchuk.

To their credit, Ovie, Malkin and 2 others who names are escaping me stayed on the ice throughout.

But I don't think it was the loss to Canada that got them so upset. They were more upset about the Finlandians not winning the tournament.

2- Lady Byng Trophy
3- Mark Messier Leadership Trophy
4- Jennings Trophy (except Moog)

So it appears Babs is staying in Detroit. Can't wait for Fibbo's post about how great Babs is after that verbal assault he laid down last week and basically said Babs sucks and would be nothing without Ken Holland. Should be some fine backtracking.

It comes with the territory. The Rangers did a poor job yesterday defensively and well, King Hank got owned as a result. If peeps choose to rib you a bit for that, again...goes with the territory.

I think at this point you need to come to terms with Finland being in the top teams internationally. You may have previously been able to ignore them as you did before the last Olympics but they're right there in the conversation in every tournament.

Remember this all comes from 2 pre olympic statements, I wouldn't count Finland out yet and saying Finland's trio of goalies was probably the best goalie group in the tourney (not the US as someone else stated).

That's why you hate me so much. Because a filthy American knew more about international hockey than a mighty Canadian

Top 5, ya. Finlandia is still team #5 in my view. Behind Canada, USA, Russia and Sweden. All the bronze medals at the World's and Olympics and laughable IIHF rankings won't change that.

Show my the Gold at a Best on Best tournament. And since this whole Finlandia joke started, what exactly have they won anyway? And Bronze medals don't count. Since we've already established the Canada or the US playing for Bronze is like an exhibition game.
