First, I'd like to thank the city of Buffalo and the Sabres organization for their amazing hospitality and to say hi to the viewing party going on over at Rexall place right now. With that being said, the Edmonton Oilers are proud to select with the #1 pick in the 2016 NHL entry draft, from Zurich in the Swiss-A league, Auston Matthews!
Edmonton does NOT need another rookie. Edmonton needs some veterans who can teach the kids a thing or two.
That was a nasty crash McDavid had though. I feel bad for the kid.
Not as bad as Chris Kelly's fall last night. Out 6-8 months (read career ending) with a broken femur.
I hate to say it but being a member of the femoral nailing club, hes done and his feet will never point in the right direction again. He's going to lose a ridiulous amount of muscle tone and the flexibility he previously enjoyed on this left leg will be reduced dramatically.
Walking, fine. Running, can do but feel every step on my right leg. My biggest losses are snowboarding, my freestyle bike and being able to sit Indian style. Those are basically lost to me, all I can safely do on the bike now is ride a wheelie til the sun goes down.
I don't feel bad for myself. Yeah it sucked, yeah it was painful, but in the end it's something that gives you a lot of perspective on things and how they could be worse. One of those, if it doesn't kill you it make you stronger kinda thing.

Write down the date & time, I'm a Bruin fan tonight! (watching on NESN)!
So you're listening to jack and brick. Jack Edwards is always called a homer but it's not true. The guy is just over the top at all times. Listen to how excited he get when either team is close to scoring or someone makes a nice move.

It's true though, he get a lot of shit for being a homer because opposin fans only see clips of him calling B's goals. When you watch the whole game you'll see he's just easily excitable.
He knows all the other players on the opposing teams and what their skill sets are. He's always giving players their props for what they being to the table regardless of who they play for.
I will say this though, the bruins never miss the net wide, listen to how many times he says, "intentionally wide" on a b's shot.
Washington may miss wide, the bruins always meant to do that.
Also at the time I didn't realize I was going to see a body in Lenin's tomb with a guard in every corner making sure he didn't get killed any more than he already was.
