It doesn't need to be a goalie, just as long as they draft a world class bust.

And the b's may have a shot at Rantanen. He's ranked #2 internationally but runs from like 7-19th overall depending on whose scouting report you trust.

What would really make me happy is for the maple leafs to land the #1 pick, choose Mcdavid and have him pull a Lindros and refuse to play for them.

He's already said he'd love to play in Toronto so not going to happen. Either way not going to happen because the Leaves will draft 4th or 5th, miss out on McEichel, draft a stiff and suck forever.

dom: When the Leaves "win" but the Oilers and Sabres also "win"...is the Leaves' "win" still a "win" or more a "loss" at this point?

I can only ask that they lose. They've been doing a pretty good damn job of it lately. They've only won 8 of the last 42. I can't ask for much more than that. If they started like they've finished, McWaffle would be wrapped up by now.

On that note, for the first time in the last 16 season's the Leaves didn't sell out. There were over 500 empty seats in the building. Stub Hub was selling their tickets for half of face value. I wish I knew.

Fans are finally starting to have enough of this team. Its about damn time.

It's a great sign, but I doubt the trend will continue past the off season. Now that word is out cheap tickets might be available in the secondary market I bet the rest of the games will sell out while people that couldn't afford tickets snap up some of the deals.

They may still call it a sell out. If the tickets were being sold on the secondary market, they technically "sold out". The Red Sox pulled bs like that where they were claiming this long sell out streak but every local knew it was a lie. Tickets were available to nearly every game but only in the secondary market. You don't necessarily need the building filled to capacity to say you sold every ticket.

The Western Conference is going to be an enjoyable street-fight for the final playoff spots.

Kings are purposely being "dramatic" because Deano wants to up the entertainment value of the sport. It's on purpose. Calling up Mike Richards was his trump card to push the Kings into the final spot and ultimately, win the Cup.

You watch.

I think they announced attendance at 18,300. 500 or so below capacity. The point isn't whether it was a sell out. The point is, people have finally started to have enough of the train wreck and are willing to stay home.

Maybe so, but those tickets were all sold initially so they were paid for. They got their money, so the arena loses $7500 in concession sales due to the 500 who weren't there.

If the fans can stop buying the product from the source it will send a message.

Seguin was injured. It is a fact that we would have gotten all wins in the game he was out injured.
