Yet another Deano master stroke of genius. The man can do no wrong. You know he drafted and the traded for Gretzky and Drafted Lemieux and Crosby and Howe and Stamkos.

You also forgot that he designed the McLaren F1.

This game was horribly officiated, the Pens took exception to it and were giving the refs an earful, this led to a number of misconducts, plus Downie accidentally knocking over one of the refs

I haven't seen officiating that bad since my best friend's wedding

Pens fans, its never their fault. Pretty sure that's why the Leaves are where they are as well, bad officiating.

I didn't say that, I said they got a number of misconducts for stuff said to the refs. They definitely lost their composure, as they have a few times this season. It's frustrating to say the least

That kind of takes the blame off the Pengoons.

Just you since I have nothing else to talk about in here.

It's a fact, it was horribly officiated, the Pens lost their composure and bitched out the refs because it was horribly officiated. They still lost the game because they lost their composure, I've been clear about that

Was it Tim Peel? Because, he's generally agreed to be the worst ref in all of hockey...

No, it was Kerry Fraser, he came out of retirement to screw the Pengoons.

So were all the other Pengoon games horribly officiated this year? You make it seem like this is a one time event even though the Pengoons have led the league in penalties for the majority of the year. So were they all horribly officiated or do the Pengoons just commit a lot of penalties?

Steve Downie commits a lot of penalties, he gets called a lot just for having that name on his jersey

My fear when we signed him was his reputation for losing it and taking dumb penalties, for long parts of the season they had him reigned in and he very rarely went off the handle, but he's been slipping lately and has admitted as such

So now its all Steve Downie's fault?

Never the Pens fault.....Pay no attention to the fact that they were the Pengoons WITHOUT Steve Downie.

He leads the team in PIM and major penalties. What else can I say that you'd like to twist around?

While Pengoons are well goons, you should take pride in the fact that all the Pengoons combined don't equal the douchebagary that is Milan Lucic.

It's looking like 3 on 3 is coming to NHL overtime next year. Apparently the GMs approved it but haven't decided on a format. I'm guessing they'll go to 7 minute OT starting 4 on 4 then go 3 on 3 at the first whistle after 3 minutes (the same as the ahl). I doubt the nhlpa would agree to 5 minutes 4 on 4 then 5 minutes 3 on 3 then to a shoutout, too much extra time.
