Stoked for the new Arena plans in Hockeytown.

I stand corrected, initial talk earlier this year was that it would be ready for the 2016 season (which I thought was optimistic), sounds like it will be ready for 2017.

Bad news is Babcock will be coaching in Toronto by then. domchamoog told me so.

I'm pretty sure he's working on the Malaysian air investigation. Aftet all, he is the most qualified for that type of work and by that type of work I mean knowing everything.

There are very few teams who employ a GM of Hockey oops, but I checked the historical records and your right, Toronto has had a GM and VP of hockey oops since 1967.

But maybe I wasn't clear. 2 guys were canned yesterday. I believe, one was an Assistant GM and the other was VP of Hockey Oops.

EDIT: I missed the 1967 part Its not Sept yet.

And I was right

firing assistant general manager Claude Loiselle and vice-president of hockey operations Dave Poulin, and hiring 28-year-old Kyle Dubas as the team’s new assistant GM.

Hmm, maybe your not intentionally making the joke I thought you're making.

You wrote "hockey oops" which is quite fitting for Toronto. "Oops" is a way of signifying a mistake. "Oops, we traded away a future Vezina winner for Raycroft." The GM of Hockey Oops, is the general manager of hockey mistakes.

Most teams have a GM of hockey ops, "ops" being short for "operations".

29 teams hire someone to keep track of hockey operations, 1 team hires someone to keep track of hockey mistakes.

Once again failing at pro hockey

What made it horrid was that I was in the cell NEXT to Italiano and some sports fan who kept telling everyone the play-by-play of each skate. It was worse than Twitter.

So, FWIW, my sister recently attended Sam Gagner's wedding as she's good friends with the bride.

Patrick Kane was among the invites but he could not make it due to commitments in Chicago with his recent signing. Tavares was in attendance and is a really nice guy. Taylor Hall...supreme prick...asked her THREE times to go to her room even though she was there with her BF. Kinda creepy too...

Ladislav Smid was her favorite...the guy was supremely weird but hilarious. He was easily the biggest guy there. She also met David Perron and Nugent-Hopkins...nice guys.
