i know all about the fustration on buying used.. its horrible people are jacking prices up when they have no reason to now.. in the next few months the japanese makers will be producing cars too so that will help drive some of the cars back down as well.

If your shopping for a "fun" commuter vehicle one of the best cars for the money right now is the 3G- infinity G 35. If you are willing to spend $20k the 4G is really nice. 300 realiable horses.

of course, if i had the money, i'll be buying the G coupe right away. problem is that i don't have that much of lump sum money to pay for the G. i was planning to sell the 240 and get G coupe in the near future but.. you know.. my budget is below $10k.

i'm currently driving a 2005 hyundai accent 2dr with 39k miles since monday afternoon. no power anything except power steering i think i can get this one for $3000 or less or even free if i get lucky. but its damn depressing to get in and get out. simply it took "fun" out of driving a car.

tiburon gt drives pretty nice. my friend had a v6 5speed and it drove pretty nice. but after driving rwd for two years, i don't like the feel of front wheels pulling

hope that is300 is in decent condition. gonna drive all the way to damascus in few mintues. i'll be stuck in a traffic for a while..

wasn't too bad. only 40min which includes stuck in traffic.

was amazed of test drive. never knew is300 chasis was this solid and nimble. feels lot more european and drives much better than 2G IS250. also older toyotas are rock solid for sure. even with 101k miles, it purred like a brand new engine. but other than good drivetrain, most of the interior parts were beat up and needed lots of work cosmetically. plus 100k tune up and new tires.. i'll pass this one..

i think i fell in love with is300 now. not a fast car but its sure fun to drive with great chasis.

^ im telling you.. 95-96 sc300 or 400 for about 6K then get a supra engine with manual conversion.. about 4K and you are set for serious fun..

or get an 04-05 tsx again =)

yeah why not get a first gen TSX? those are getting pretty cheap these days, reliable, fun to drive, only issue is FWD. Or an EP3 Si, those are awesome! RSX S?

FWD drive better in snow =) unless you plan to start drifting then FWD probably is a better way to go.. oh and you get better MPG usually in a FWD

My new car search is over for now. Got a call from police at 4:30pm saying they just found the car.
They found it at some residential area off of cornellius pass rd in hillsboro and they think car "seems" drivable. Visually, whole stereo including speakers been taken out. Also license plate is gone too..

Waiting for my friend to pick me up to the towing company. $249 base fee plus $40 gate fee since they are finished with regular business hour. But have no idea why the hell towing fee is so damn expensive when they are located in cornellius pass and they picked up the car around that area. Wtf... total rip off.

Shit.. I guess when cop told me "drivable" meant it had wheels, seats, and steering wheel still attached. Oh also a seatbelt.

Main thing to start the car was gone. Optima battery.. Pulled the car to the street and since all the auto part stores were closed, had to buy a new battery at Fred Meyer's. $99 for a regular Interstate plus $10 core deposit.

Things missing...
1. Optima battery
2. Pioneer cd deck including oem radio brackets
3. Pioneer speakers
4. Power door actuators
5. Personal belongings including two of my prescription glasses
6. Original Nissan OEM Manual and Service book
7. Coilover wrench
8. Oregon license plates

Something that doesn't feel right...
1. Brake pedal. Did they put new pads? Pedal got super firm..
2. Gas pedal. Greased them? Super loose..
3. Engine. Something rattles or knocks. Either timing chain or rod knock..


Should I just sell it and add that money into a new car or just keep it?

Gah dang, sounds like a headache. I feel so violated for you.

For those problems you listed, sounds like they tried to take off some parts but decided it wouldn't be any use so they half assed it when they assembled it back. God knows what else they tried to do.

Plus.. just found out that all the electronics are f'd up. When they cut the stereos out, they cut out whatever wires I think. Most headache is wire work..

the bonus of it all is the fact that you dont have to have a salvaged title from it cause you got it back and no major issues.. but still sounds like there is a few..

i would sell it.. fix the minor things so its still ok but sell it asap

forgot to add to it.. who knows if they drove the piss out of your car too.. they could of reved on it till your motor was about to fall out and drive in the lowest gear possible to burn up the tranny..

my guess though is it was probably some meth head looking for quick parts they could take out.. i would be thankfull it wasnt some gang that stripped the hell out of it and burn it then left it for gravedigger

I'd probably have it inspected to make sure it's safe. Then fix whatever it needs to be safe and sell it. Electrical problems consume money and time in a hurry. Oh an it sounds like you want a new car anyway lol

Oh wow. I learned something from the night when my visors got stolen. Apparently it seems like a three man job.

I was washing my car and saw one of the screw behind my front lip sticking out. I'm like wtf, that's weird. I looked closer and saw another missing screw of the front lip. I knew at that point that they were tampering with my lip and wanted to remove it. I then inspect the rest of my car. Looked at my rear lip and also saw another missing screw.

Man, I would never imagined people be stealing lip kits also. I think my Viper alarm just paid for itself right there.

I am positive that one of the thieves probably has a TSX too. And yes, my whole lip kit is CGP, but that probably doesn't even matter to them because they can repaint it.

I am OK with the visors being taken, but if they stole my lip kit, I would definitely turn into a detective
