THE Bay Area Chat Thread (Part Trois)
I could've swore you and Michelle's due date was the 9th or 10th. Pretty anxious, excited, nervous, at the same time. Hopefully Tech 3 can get it running like new again. I think the guys at the car audio place I went to abused it that Saturday. Sunday it sat in the garage..Monday it felt funny then Tuesday it completely failed.
^ if those audio people did that.. that really sucks. main reason i want to get a viper alarm put in cause then theres an option of putting it into valet mode so the car will only go up to 10-15 mph. thats just in case i have to leave it at a shop for some reason
Ouch..
If you can find a shop that will do it for under $500, I would say go for it. Or, just do it yourself. It's a pretty complete kit and not too hard to do.
yea the whole point of going air runner in the first place over piecing together your own components is ease of use. shouldnt be too hard to google a DIY and do it yourself.
im not sure if tech 3 has much experience installing air. best bet in san jose area thati can think of is Sonic MS but they are a bit pricey. also, try Limitless Motorsports..probably a bit more affordable.

Only thing with the airrunner kit is to figure out where you are going to mount the paddles. Also, if you did get gauges, where to mount those as well. It's a pretty good size air line mess behind the paddles. You can probably work on the interior stuff and get it all set up before you actually rip the suspension out.
For me, it's just picturing how I want it, then going from there. It's worked out so far. haha.
Installing air is a pain in the ass. The end result is worth it.

A lot of people have seen this. This is the hardline set up I did for my air. I was originally going to pull my 4 gallon out and just run these, but I decide to run them together.
yup. have to look through this entire thread and you'll see how much work it was, lol.....

I need your help guys.
What's the traffic law for the following situation? See the attached image.
Some people keep on stopping at this intersection (circled in red). They stop (at the green circle) for minutes until there's a red light so they can cut across to the left lane.
There is no STOP sign or YIELD sign. There is also a solid white line for them to get their speed up to merge. There are also no oncoming cars because that lane starts there.
I can understand if they slowed down to check for pedestrians but I don't think they should be stopping there for the entire time. Sometimes up to 10 cars are behind them because they stop there.
Am I wrong for getting impatient with these drivers?

Looking on Google maps, I dont see a "DO NOT TURN ON RED" sign. As long as that sign is NOT there, then yes, you can get peeved. The reason that extra merge lane is there on Montague is so you do NOT get a line of cars on McCarthy Blvd. For some reason these IDIOTS are waiting to go across the three lanes?? Im guessing they want to turn left onto Trimble?? They should just merge onto Montague and if they cant get over for Trimble, just turn left or make a U-turn at the next light. I bet it would take LESS time to do that, then to wait at the light!!! What do you expect, people are selfish, all they think about is the fact that they have to go across three lanes. FAWK the 10 cars behind me, I dont care if they need to get home to their families!!!
Then again, patience is a virtue.

As for the law, there is a law that states you need to keep traffic moving. Its similar to the law that states if you are going uphill and you have more than 5 cars behind you, you HAVE to pull over and let the line of cars pass. I dont know what the specific law is, but you can NOT hold up traffic.
Thanks Rollie.
You are correct. There is no sign that says "NO TURN ON RED."
ALL the people that I've seen wait to get into the left lane are all wanting to turn left onto Trimble.
But Trimble is about 0.4 miles away so that should be enough distance for them to get into the left lane.
