Hello! New '06 TL owner, new to the site, and local to Mpls. I am hoping some of you can give me some direction on a couple points.

My car came with some scratches in the paint, especially around the door handles (previous owner was apparently a female with long finger nails) and some scratches on the doors. Where is a good detail shop that will fix and buff these for me to get it looking like new?

Also, any recommendations on places to bring the TL for service. Would like to support a locally and independent shop. Hopefully I don't have to see them for a while however...

Thanks!

Knock Knock

Put some new Rubbers on the TL... Also had to swap out the Starter.. WHAT a pain in the A$$..... Dealership wanted near 700 bucks though and I was able to do it myself *with some cussing and swearing at how tight the bolts were for under 200... Yay.. And I hit 96k Whoop.

TL has been a lil pissy that I have been driving her lil sister around a lot lately hahaah

Yes that sucks but will just have to see. On another note I play the pirelli GP challenge and for the Belgian GP i picked all there of the winner in their perspective places Vettel 1st Alonso 2nd and Hamilton 3rd got 15 points.

Ok that makes sense. Have you try to find HFPC's used. Why not do the PCD'S and you will gain a ton of power. This is cheaper.

Yeah i've looked. Most have loose internals, cracked welds, or are just junk, I want something I can just throw in and be done with it.
I don't want to go PCD's i'll have a crap load of rasp and I don't want to hack my exhaust up to put a resonator in it. I alread have slight rasp with my set up as it is.

I figured going from a 900 cell count to a type-s 600 cell count would be sufficient enough.

Is that a thinly veiled offer to buy my car Jake? It meets all three of your criteria I don't think I could let her go for any less than $28K.

There's a few self car washes near the event if you need them! It's sounds like this event will have a pretty large turnout! Should be quite a good time. Anyone else going to make the drive down??

I ended up buying blank rotors with the black coating from R1 Concepts. The more and more I read about cross-drilled vs slotted vs blank....decided blank was the way to go. The cross-drilled/slotted looked nice on my car but they offer no distinct advantage in stopping ability.

What type of pads should I buy? Durolast Cmax Gold?

IIRC....the sidemarkers aren't replacement bulbs; it's an entire light assembly. It's glued together so basically you have to replace the whole thing when your lights burn out.

OEM ones are roughly $50 or so

33800-SEP-A01 LIGHT ASSY., R. FR. SIDE MARKER
33850-SEP-A01 LIGHT ASSY., L. FR. SIDE MARKER

Ahhhh Just figured that out.. I may order the Type S set that HeelToe has, I am waiting for confirmation though that its OEM equipment. I found that I can get the side markers OUT super easy though, so that made me happy.

Burnsville Performing Arts Center
12600 Nicollet Avenue, Burnsville, Minnesota 55337

"Twin City Euros and The Affiliated have teamed up to host a meet in downtown Burnsville at the Performing Art Center's public parking lot/garage. This meet is open to all types of cars so bring whatever you have. Let's make this an awesome meet.

The lot is off of Hwy 13 and Nicollet ave in Burnsville. Once you turn onto Nicollet ave from Hwy 13 the meet is off of the road that is situated between a Shell and Mobile station/liquor store. The meet is in the lower lot/level of the parking ramp so keep following the road until you see cars. Don't complain about it being too far away from where you live because if you don't come you will regret it.

There will be no loud music, revving, burnouts, etc, allowed whatsoever. We do not want to get kicked out and we are putting this meet together for you, the enthusiast, so please do not ruin it for everyone else.

If you don't see one of your friends on the invite list spread the word to them! Hope to see you all there for a good time!

I'm going to try and make it out there tonight but I don't know when. These things always come up on days that I'm busy. I won't make the grimmspeed since I'll be out of town but gonna try to make itback for the hla event.
