I'm guessing you guys showed up late to the mnhonda meet? I was able to get there early, left at 1:30ish for some family stuff though.

Here are some pictures I got from there. Too bad i wasn't there to take some of you guys rolling in.

yea, i was running late already, was supposed to leave at 1pm but pushed it as late as i could. I'm guess if you guys got parking, a lot of people already left by then too. It was packed, people were parked down the road quite a ways when i left.

We found 3 spots at the far end when we rolled in, we had to wait for awhile for other cars to leave in order to line up 5 cars together. It was very packed.

Where the heck was everyone I didn't see any of you at B4B... Oh I know why it is because after nagging my dad to take his Mustang out for the first time this year and driving the 40 miles down to B4B we get a parking spot in the overflow area that is not the best and it was unclear if it cost to look at the cars. I was sure it was free to look but $10 if you wanted your car in the show. Then we missed the shuttle to the show and would have to wait for it to come back. After all of this my dad who is already agitated about the parking spot his car is in says it is too cold and wants to leave. Knowing him all too well and it would be pointless to argue we get back in the car and leave after spending a grand total of 2-5 minutes in the overflow parking lot.

You could have paid the $10.00 but you did not have to be inthe show. Jake paid the $10.00 and was not in the show and he was parked close to the MAP shop.

No doubt. I paid the $10 and had fairly decent parking (not in any lot, but in the road right in front of the shop).

@Phantom_of_the_Acura I was hoping you were going to show up with the M5. I picked up an '06 M3 a few weeks ago and I was hoping to check yours out as well. Though I was just afraid of it making me want the M5 instead.

Haha. Unfortunately the wifey would never go for it... or, at least, I wouldn't want her to. She's commuting to Bloomington everyday for the next 2 years yet. :/

I35 in the winter can be a death trap (literally). That's why she's in the AWD wagon.

After that though, we'll be moving somewhere (destination: unknown). Maybe some place warm where I can justify it.

I was never crazy about the interior/exterior of the newer BMW's though; that's what prevented me from picking one up as of recently.

Eh the M3 is the drivers car the M5 is just a big fast car. Be happy with what you have I learned my lesson with the M5 bigger and faster isn't always better I'd take back my TL in a heartbeat if given the opportunity. The SMG is slow the MPG is around 15-17 and I really work to get it that high in normal driving. On my drive home from Omaha one time I did the speed limit and drove as efficiently as possible and only managed 20.42 MPG. And although mine has been mostly trouble free the stories of problems is getting more attention on the M5 forum. Which most of the people there just like saying Gotta pay to play. Which is a saying I hate

Agreed. Maintenance cost is very pricey down the road, you always want to keep it in top shape. Unless you are mechanical inclined which allow you to do all the work on the Bimmer yourselves, otherwise, price for visit mechanic will be costly. I moved from Acura TSX to a 330 ci sport and 530i and now i am back to Acura. Only thing i can say is I am glad that i switched back.

On the side note, the TL is as comfortable as the 5 series. Personally, the back seat of the TL is more comfortable. Plus dropping the TL, handling is close to my 330ci sport.

Don't get me wrong, I love the M3. However, going from a 500+whp down to a car with 1/2 of that is a bit disappointing. I've always liked the E39 M5's, but the color combo I want is impossible to find in the first place, then to find it with very low miles just... isn't going to happen. I've also always wanted an E46 M3, but again, could never find one in decent shape... until now. It just so happens that the M3 fell in my lap before a nice M5 did.

After selling 95% of my turbo/performance parts for the TL, I'll be picking up some parts for the M here shortly. I'd like to put a stage 2 S/C on it before the summer is up. Hopefully that'll satiate my need for more power for a little while anyway.

Werd up Jorge & Pineapple...I am still alive....because I know you care!

I actually got a text from our resident mechanic a few days ago. I'm swapping out the aftermarket serpentine lower pulley with an OEM...cannot stand the noise anymore. You know how I like my car quiet Jorge

Just replaced my Continental DWS tires with another set...managed to squeeze 43,XXX out of them with my eratic driving habits. The guy at discount tire made an offhand comment about Acura's eating tires...not sure what he meant?

Pineapple...how are your slotted and drilled rotors holding up? There is a little wobble when I slam on the brakes at high speed. Shouldn't be tire balance since I just got new shoes. Need to get an alignment but I doubt that will fix the wobble. Might be time for another rotor job?

Just moved so that has kept me busy trying to get stuff done around house. Also coaching my 5 yr old's baseball & soccer teams along with my 8 yr old's baseball & hockey teams. Needless to say, I have no life.

Well, hope to see you all at a meet (on a Sunday ) this summer.

Later!

Newbie (to the forums) - 97 2.2 CL 220k Miles

Well, these gathering sound fun! Picked up a 97 2.2 CL about 2 years ago. Black, auto, 220k miles, 2nd owner (from what I can tell). Sweet car (yeah, it's got the traditional rust along the back wheel wells like most of 'em!).

Anywho, I'm lookin to go to a few meet and greets, time permitting, see what kind of trouble I can get into with this car when she's stored in the winter!

SI
