Had Luther Infiniti go to Florida to get this car for me. Everyone asks why I got a RWD and not an AWD and it is pretty simple... 2WD is just more fun especially with a manual trans.. Plus I have no problems getting around in 10+ inches of snow. In fact, I have a blast haha.

How's it going guys? Just checking in and seeing if we have any plans for a spring meet? I'm starting project 2 for this winter, still haven't finished project 1 (quad headlights). Project 2 are my custom tails. I only got one done right now, I will be finishing the other tonight most likely. What do you think? I wanted that OEM feel, but that custom look for the TL enthusiest.

They're pretty hard. I'd rather do headlights than taillights. You definitely need to know the cutting angles how deep to cut all the way around the taillight and a steady hand is a must This is the second pair I've made so far.

No I don't. I don't think I'd even be comfortable making them for people quite yet.

I may attempt this then. Once you get it open is it just a matter of removing the two red reflective lenses?

Basically. The chrome bezel will need to come out. That's the hardest part, you have to squeeze that out without breaking it.

I paid $215 shipped also included led gaskets. I got them from Ack. I think it was a decent price for oem. I got the clear covers from Ack as well for $40

Has anyone bought taillights from Unique Style Racing? My drivers side taillight managed to crack the turn signal shell on the inside of the taillight itself... so i'll have to pick up a new set. Was looking to get a ghost set from them and have heard some decent things, but wanted to see if anyone here has bought from them before.

Found another small penis on the highway this morning.... Going to work on 35W north... I was running late so I started passing a few cars... nothing crazy, wasnt going any more than 70mph. This fucking CTS-V gets out of his lane and uses the right shoulder right after the 35W bridge just to pass me. Long story short... We got off the highway at the same place but I still managed to get there before him cause all that speed and no driver... I never went more than 70mph and still passed him again. I guess my car is just that intimidating.... with stock rims, covered in road salt and using my turn signals....

You have a pic of the crack? I may have a replacement part.
The USR lights are DEPO, some have figment issues and some don't. I've manage to have both issues on two sets of taillights.

I'll take a pic tonight. Might not be the best as my taillights are tinted. I have no clue how it happened, but the driver side turn signal cracked inside and shifted, so a little bit of white from the bulb shows through.

Essentially, yes. But I've never taken apart a taillight before

So a second look at the taillight, and it looks as if the turn signal was melted... I'm not too sure how the hell that might of happened. I think I'm going to get the USR ghost lights. I'll just toss my older lights in storage unless someone wants to buy them to mess around with.

Are they just the base 07-08 taillights?
How much will you let them go for?

had been looking at getting the ghost tails myself. But I want to see how they fit also i have seen some of the depot ones get small cracks all over the clear lens. That's what has kept me from buying them.

So I picked up a GoPro this weekend... Anyone have experience with mounting these? I'd like to put a mount on my dash, but not sure how it will hold up.

Now that I've seen it on the car I'm not sure I like it as much. It looks a little too busy with the WDP. I think the silver trim needs to be darker. like this one.

I can see what you mean. The trim appeared to be much darker when I first got them. Then in the sunlight they were much lighter. I'm okay with them thought. Type s taillights do come in two different color chrome bezel it seems.

ah I didn't know type s tails came in different bezel colors. Don't get me wrong they do look good but I think it would look better with the darker bezel on WDP. I'm going to photoshop your tails onto my ASM to see how they look.

The TL-S tails only come in a dark Chrome fellas they do not make them in two colors. You must be talking after market lights like the Depot. OEM no way
