My wife had Lasik done and loves it! It certainly is not cheap though (at least to have it done right it isn't)!
Happy upcoming New Years!

Hello-
I have an Acura Integra V6 whose air conditioner recently went bad. And the power steering is also screeching. I need someone who can work on my Integra to resolve these issues. And, I need an engine shield built because it sits uncomfortably low.
Can anyone help me with my car (or recommend a decent mechanic)?
I live in Edina, Minnesota. And I am real. It snowed today and forecast for tomorrow calls for more snow.
Thanks

Yes and no. It is a Hasport mount but it has been modified so that the hood can close and accomadate an automatic transmission.
Right now, I am looking to protect the bottom of the powertrain, especially, the automatic transmission which sits at the same level of the oil pan.
If these niggling faults are fixed, it'd be good to go. Oh, there is some rust I need help with so if anyone can recommend someone in the Twin Cities who can work with this otherwise finished project, that would be great!

That's alright. I guess for reference, it is an Integra with a J32A2 (TL Type-S) with Automatic. It has all the stuff that the TL has with ABS, Air, and PS. (Usually, there isn't enough space for those)
If someone could look at my Air Conditioning system, that would be great. There is nothing special about it because it is exactly what you would find in a TL. Same with the PS.
Please help! Suggestions for any good mechanics?

Thank you for your recommendation -- hopefully, he'll be able to help. I think I know that Integra you are talking about. Isn't it owned by Boomlep? (I think that's his name) His is a coupe and has a manual transmission. It also has that hole cut in the hood. I didn't cut a hole so my engine and transmission sit rather low in the chassis. That's why I need a shield.
Any fabricators out there?

Hi all back from the east coast. Happy New Year to all. Hope the new year is good to all. I found out that in PA you do not have emissions and you do not have to have a front plate either, but gas is expensive.

Thanks -- I haven't had any luck either. Maybe he is inactive. Does anyone in Minnesota have a J32 Civic/Integra as well? It'd be cool to have a meet up with these swaps.

Hope everyone had a great christmas and new years!
I'm around Jorge.. Just been super busy lately. I have been getting the urge to get a new car though... trying not to pay attention to it, but it's getting stronger.. I think once spring comes and i can put my wheels back on, lower it, get my rear a-spec lip, i should be content though

Me still alive.
I got most of my parts gathered for my new headlight build. Currently I have a pair of S2K AP1 projectors with e30 clear lenses, Type S clear diffusers, ZKW-R clear lenses for the TL projectors, I'll be ordering Osram SVS bulbs for all 4 projectors. I'll also be toying around with custom shield for the S2k and TL projectors and see what I can come up with. Hopefully I can fit those S2k projectors into the DRL spot, I'm sure it's going to require a lot of cutting. I'm going to make a custom braket to for more support. That's all I got for this winter!

Yup, still planning on going! I don't think it has been determined which weekend in June it will be yet. Usually we leave early Friday morning, so that we can get down there by Friday afternoon.
We then usually hook up with some of the locals down there to have a small dinner on Friday night! KC BBQ FTW!!

It's amazing. I'm currently at 20/30 but the doctor said that it'll get better once my eyes heal and recover. Where's your vision currently at?
What I'm always here. I had a quiet xmas and new years I got the Beatles box set on vinyl and a Proj-ect Debut Carbon record player. But I had to take my dad's hand me down Marantz receiver in for service to get the most out of the new record player and records. It sounds really great compared to hearing the same songs on my iPod. I have plans to do a ton of service on the M5 this spring to get it ready for the fact it now has almost 65,000 miles so spark plugs and fuel filter are on the to do list along with new front tires and a few other maintenance items so I'm saving up for all of that plus doing double payments to get it paid down.

Has anyone used Redline Type F ATF before? I need to do a transmission fluid flush, and am looking at what my options are. So far, I've seen nothing but great things regarding Redline Type F.
Also, is it worth it to do a 3x3 flush, or would a single flush be sufficient?

Yeah, you're right on that. It sure isn't cheap my friend, I myself am looking at $3,568.30 to be exact. But my sister and bro in law has gotten Lasik done and I hear nothing but good things.

For now it is sitting in the garage under a car cover. I will need to put new rotors this spring I want to get my front bumper redone. I will be taking the bumper of to get it repainted. Also clean my CAI filter While the bumper is off. I have a few other surprises.

The ATF fluid that acura makes is really good. All this redline Type F I would put in a racing car. Waste of money if you ask me. When was the last time your car was on a track? Don't waste your money. The product Acura has is fine for your car it is not a cheap product. If in dout ask Joe if you can get a hold of him.
How do you like the Redline D4 fluid?

Hey Jakob - nobody really answered you, but you will want to do the 3x3 rather than a single. The issue with the single, is that you can only get like 80% of the fluid out of the pan unless you drop it. And most of the "chunks" will stay in the pan. So flush out the 80, refill, take it for a drive and flush again. This should get more crap out of there.
With a single flush, you are leaving 20% of the stuff you want out of there. With the 3x3 you end up leaving 3.2% (mathmatically speaking)
Now my math may not be 100% accurate, due to the fact that I am not positive how much fluid is left in the bottom of the pan below the drain plug. But if I remember correctly, it could actually be more than the 20% that stays. I want to say a quart stays in the system at all times. But not being a TL owner anymore, what do I know
Oh. And Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and whatever else I missed.
