Who's all going to MN Hondas meet this weekend? The weather man is calling for really crappy weather kind of sucks

 

Does anyone know of any reputable paint shops in the Twin Cities Metro to get my NBP Type S front bumper, fenders, and hood repainted? They have a million rock chips, especially in the front bumper.

We are going on the 11th. We are planning on cruising there together. we are Going to meet up with Travis South by Rochester area and head from there.

 

Atlas did you get your room reserved yet. This way u can get the discount.

 

Yeah, we are leaving on the 11th as well. I think the tentative plan was to leave Rochester around 7am, and so that would put us into KC around 2-3pm. Then have some time to chill out, and then maybe grab some BBQ dinner later!

Be sure to call the host hotel (435 Overland Park Place) to reserve your room! I think the reservations need to be in by this Friday to get the discounted rate.

Ok, I was planning on leaving around noonish and I'm bringing my wife and son so I'll see if they want to leave earlier so we can cruise with you guys.

I'm thinking of using some 3M Painters tape to put on my front end for this road trip to KC because rock chips suck and the bugs are gonna be a PITA to scrub off my bumper. Has anyone used this kind of tape for long road trips too?

Oh yeah, I've used it many times for long road trips! It works great as long as it doesn't rain!!! If it rains at all....well you'll be littering all the way down to KC! I'm sure I'll be doing it again this year too. Just be sure to bring enough with you to do the car for the trip back home too.

I was thinking about it, but it's way up in Rogers. That's like a 2hr drive for me. Has anyone ever been to this before? Is it a good time?? Sounds like just a big dyno day.

Yea, just running risk of driving without a spare tire and my exhaust resonator only has 2.5 inches of ground clearance. Hope I make it there in 1 piece. Will see you guys there. Lots of prep work still to do.

 

You better have stiff suspension. That's hard on your ass

 

My suspension is stiff. I bring an extra seat cushion so I can survive the 8 hours plus.

No worries, my car is all stock too except for wheels and tint. My next plan is to lower it, the wheel gap is annoying.

 

I would totally go if I didn't have a birthday to attend to this weekend, never been to kc I hear they have awesome bbq! yes! the gap is quite annoying. Also careful driving the Iowa they have SPEED trap cameras on the interstate a co worker got 2 while driving there. cant wait to see the all the pictures

alright so I took my car to the dealership last week to get the air bag issue taken car of while I was the I was trying to get some history on the car the thing I was I was looking for the most if the timing belt was done the only thing I could see was the timing belt tensor was replaced before the interval....so Im guessing by the the timing belt wasn't replaced and needs to be ASAP my car has 175xxx on it so its been on my mind a lot lately so whos a good mechanic someone could recommend? much appreciated!
