Tranny blew out at 4a.m. on the way home from work and I couldn't get a tow truck til like 11am

 

^Seriously? What happened? Just wouldn't shift? You just got a new tranny last summer didn't you?

 

Guess that's what you get for going 140 in a 11 year old car

 

I'm only gone for a few months and everyone is fighting

 

That sucks man at least the detail job still looked good as it sat on the side of the road

 

Lets see who wants to do what, if no one can make it maeby you and I can go

Hey Jorge I never heard from you on those running boards. We will have to set it up for next week sometime. And i seen slapy's car at my work, the detail job still looking good even on the flatbed getting dropped off.

 

I am sorry but last week turne out to be hell. I will this week for sure. What days this week work for you.

 

Acura ended up covering 90% of the tranny, so that wasn't too bad...

And I had been driving super conservatively for like a week, like I didn't break 2.5k RPM's a single time... About a week later and my transmission is gone. Coincidence? I think not. I now have an excuse to speed forever, haha

 

Did they tell you what failed?

 

My dad just bought a used 03(?) MDX about a month ago. Tranny went on Sunday.

 

Does anyone have ATLP's V2 Jpipe that is willing to swap me for my RV-6 V3 Jpipe. I have a lot of rasp with this ATLP base Exhaust and people who are running the V2 jpipe aren't having any.

With a little help from teh Tech at WBL Acura. Hey spend money on tires from what I heard yours are showing steel cords and are not in conditions to be traveling at 140 MPH. You could hurt youself or someone else not cool

 

^His tires aren't that bad. Arent bald and still got a little tread.

 

^You are just looking at the part of the tires you can see from the out side. The guy that had the car on the lift told me that the tires are wearing out on the inside severelly. I know him he has done all the work on my car at the dealer he does not BS like some people do. Besides when was the last time you got under Slapys car to know wether his tires are in a safe condition. I mention this to Slapy because I would not like to see him hurt while going 140 MPH.

 

I guess i didn't see under his car so i couldn't say lol just the outside (which was low but alright i guess)

Probably not a good idea to be doing 140 on those tires even with the outsides tred.

Cars looked good at the MNSC meet today, guys!

 

they just pack it up and send it to acura. last time my car saw 140+ was when some dude in a hopped up S10 wanted to go at it......all he saw was tailights lol. he kept wanting to go at it and after the first time I was like no more fun. Garmin GPS indicated 148 and the speed read 155..... that was on the old trans going down I494 towards 169 (I work in Shakopee)
