I have not checked my PM's. If you want the mods done the you have to get the lift setup with your bud and tools, and when to do it. All I have heard is that you have had alot of exams and you have to study.

We can have a coulpe of people help and get things done faster. You have to start early to try and get as much as possible.

Haha yeah, last week was hell! [finals week] Thankfully, I made it through another semester!

I just talked to my buddy with the lift. He said we can use it anytime. He said he has tools, but is missing some and doesn't know what specific tools we are going to need for the install. Is anyone available to help this weekend? I work Friday (2PM-9PM) and Saturday (9:30AM-5:30PM). However, I could try and get someone to take my Saturday shift; I have Sunday off. I talked to Jorge and it seems like he is available on Sunday, after church, to help. Anyone else willing to help us out?

where to get them windows tinted

Sup Y'all,
Travis.. thanks for the update on future meets.
Was gonna get my window smoked & was wondering where to get them done. just some advice on where to go and much I should expect to pay. Thinking about getting darker than the legal limit? Your thought on cops & tickets & if I should just go with the legal limit.
Thanks

I think most of us have darker than legal tint... cops only pull you over for tint if there is nothing better for them to do. If your all blacked out then you will be a cop magnet. Full blown auto in apple valley did my tint on both my cars and my girls car... they do a good job. I paid 220 I think for my TL... got 35% on the fronts and 20% on the rears.

No prob I have 20% front & rear (minus windshield) with 5% eyebrow and sunroof. Had the tint for about a year now, and no trouble from the authorities yet

There's a dude on the MN Subaru forums named Chris Weckle, he did the scoobs and the tint is flawless. Price was right too. Let me know if you are interested, I'll get his contact info for you.

I got my tint at 50% in front, 35% in back.. I've been pulled over like 12 times since i got it on, and only ticketed once, which is bullshit cuz i got the legal, but it tests to 47%

And I just got my car back. I'll have pics tomorrow. A few surprises too

If you don't mind me asking, what did he charge? I had my ex-installer do my tint on my Acura. I am looking to tint my Jeep and my dad wants to tint his 300. My buddy had Kevin Knapp, from Shaded Image, do his tint for only $140. He had a two-door car, so I assume he would charge about $160 to do a four-door vehicle. Does Chris Weckle tint just for a hobby or does he do this for a job/have a shop?

You forget that when they make the tint the 50% only refers to the amount of light that the tint allows through, they don't take into consideration your window glass. So while you got 50% tint, adding glass on there means that you are also blocking some amount through the glass' natural tint. The cops don't care what % your tint is, they care what it measures at when they put their little meter on there with the glass. So, based on that information, while you tried to get tint that would be legal, you failed.

Travis, I don't remember what Chris charged, but it was the cheapest deal I have heard of and he came highly recommended by the suby club. He works out of his house and this is his full-time job. He also did the clear bra on the scoob and totally gave me the hookup. He was $200 cheaper than any other shop and he also did the door edges and handles for free.

You can find him on his site: http://www.flawlessfrontends.com/

Slappy, that looks much better, now if we could just get Razzi to fix his car and show up to a meet.

...uh...hey guys....I'm Razzi....

Been busy with stuff and every time I look at my car I get a little nauseated so I've decided to be lame and avoid everything till I can do something about it.

In the meantime though, glad to see the club's still going strong

Hi Razz
I do not know in the city limits but out here in the burbs it is OK if it is in your property. I guess that does not help you if it is in public areas.

Hey Takata,
There are two of us leaving from Rochester, MN to go down to the KC meet. However, we are leaving Friday evening and getting down in KC late on Friday night.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this would be a great way to find out what the back of a cop car looks like.

We BBQ'd there last summer and they bugged about us having a beer can, so I doubt that they'd be too thrilled about you and ten foot flames.
