I would pretty much agree with Bmeyer on boosting an AT. Look at all the work he has to put into his setup and he has a MT. My personal opinion is you need to think what you want to do with your ride. Are you going to take it to the track? Are you just wanting a little more pep? If you just want to boost your ride just to say you did then i wouldnt do it. I my self am a track guy. I have taken my TL to do autox and it was hella fun but it wasnt the same in an automatic. Lucky for me autox isnt all about how much power you have... its more about handling than power. Power helps but its not like drag racing. My first year of autox i beat a 2008 dodge viper. He had TONS of power but could not control it in the turns.
Bottom line is you can do anything with enough money... look at the grand prix... those come supercharged and you can only get then in AT. Guys are modding these things to get 500WHP but they keep the car in the garage and take it to the dyno just to show how much power they got. To me thats pointless. Why spend all that money for it to sit in the garage, or only take it out once in a while.

The other thing IMO is that any more than 300WHP in a FWD is not worth it because you will have a harder time keeping that power to the ground... and... you need to turn the car with the same wheels that are powering the car.

Honestly though I will probably never supercharge it for the reasons you and bmeyer mentioned. I'm looking at buying a new camaro to have as my fun car! Probably won't buy that until next spring though.

NOTE: It's not that I want to discourage anyone from modding their car... I'd take a look at what Level 10 (http://www.levelten.com/) has to offer. A guy I know had them build up the tranny in one of his automatic cars. Held up very well to the extra power.
So I just looked at the levelten website......maybe a supercharger isn't off my plate entirely.....just kidding. That's really cool what they offer. I may contact them to see if they have any offers for the TL. Pretty expensive though, but then again what isn't expensive when it comes to trannys.

Installed the CAI yesterday. Jorge came over to help. Took it for a drive when i was done... i LOVE the growl it has when you step on the gas. There is a noticeable increase.
Also, when i was taking my test drive, i was heading back home and was behind this taurus that was going a little slow. I slowed down and just waited cause i knew they were about to turn. They popped on their turn signal and was about to turn left, i started to go around them and this fukin bitch swings her car back in front of me to cut me off. I slammed on my brakes to keep from hitting them. Then she makes her turn and goes into the residential area across from where my apartment complex is. I went to the next street and turned to go look for them. I found them parked in their driveway. I stopped in the middle of the street in front of their driveway. they saw me and just sat in their car. I sat their and waited for them to get out of the car but they never did. So i left, fukin assholes... i hate people who do shit like that and think they can just get away with it. Lucky for them im older now and i got too much to loose to dish out my own vigilante justice....lol.

Went for an oil change. Dealer recommended engine mounts. How much longer can I push this back. I got 115k. Plus need timing belt replaced. Think I should get it done at the dealer or does anyone have a cheaper place to get it done.

I saw a fellow 07-08 TL Type-S with A-spec pulled over on 280 by the police yesterday on my way home from work. Felt bad because it doesn't take much to be speeding on 280 as the limit is 50 but on top of that he had VERY dark tints all around. I was like bet he's having a bad day.

hey guys, just wondering if anybody is selling rims that will fit 02 TL-S...went through a pot hole the other day and bented my OEMS...now i need new tires and new rims....if you guys know anybody around town thats selling soem let me know...I got $$$ in hand ready to buy...if nothing by saturday I will just by some through discounttire or tires plus....LET ME KNOW!!!!!!

I usually love Fridays, but this Friday did not treat me too well [I almost died!!!]. I had another incident with White Heat today Here's the story:
I was cruisin' down 494E, coming back from picking up my new car parts from Modern Automotive Performance (about to cross the Mississippi River). I was traveling behind a truck that was carrying a HUGE couch split up into three sections; I was in the lane to his left and about 4 car lengths behind. One of the couch sections flew up in the air and landed right in front of my whip. I couldn't swerve right or left because I had traffic on both sides and couldn't brake to a complete stop because an 18-wheeler was riding my ass. Thus I had to hit the couch, which fucked up my bumper [again]. The 18-wheeler traveling right behind me wasn't paying attention; he had to slam on his brakes creating a whirlwind of smoke and his trailer to fishtail across all three lanes. He came within' feet of rear-ending me! God must have been watching over me
On a brighter note, I tracked the guy in the truck down and received all his info. He admits he was 100% at fault and will pay for all my damages
