Sounds good. I am hoping I could some day afford an A-Spec body kit for my type-S.

If I end up keeping my car, first thing I'm buying this spring is an A-Spec front bumper

I beleive you need a Type-S bumper for that. There is a difference in the bumpers, I know the grill is bigger.

I'm surprised that a shop will take off your pre-cat's, due to the huge amount of trouble they could get in for removing emission related components.

I had Buerkle replace my tranny fluid 7000 miles ago and last week I took my TL in for an alignment at Firestone (lifetime alignments ) and they said my tranny fluid was brown and suggested I change it. Strikes me as odd...

Have any of you had to buy a rebuilt tranny? My buddy has a '99 TL and the tranny just fell out.

If so, where did you buy it and what did you have to pay (if I may ask)?

The 99 and 01 I have known to have tranny problems. The 04 and up those problems have gone away. Joe is that true.

Almost forgot....they said my rear sway bar bushing are shot. Could this be the culprit of the annoying clunk I hear when I go over bumps? Is it an easy fix...or I should say, is it an easy fix for Joe? Haha

It's easy if you get the Part and are willing to pay to get it fix. I installed
My sway bar my self.

I'll pay whoever wants to fix it. I'm waiting to hear back from Joe about a free wknd so I can get the spring on the idler pulley for my serpentine belt fixed...the sound it makes until it the engine is fully warmed up is gawd awful.

I have seen plenty of aftermarket rebuilds come into the shop that have been towed in after the rebuild fails and leaves them stranded. I know acura has a 3year 36month warranty on their remans but they are not cheap. The best bet for the second gens is to install a 04-06 trans as they had fewer issue's. Here is a thread on the upgrade... I have done a handful of these upgrades myself, and will be doing one on my car when i finally blow my trans. The 99 being a 4speed AT does require a few extra pieces (5speed AT ecu & 5speed AT engine harness) even with the extra's you will be well under the price of a rebuild or reman Trans.

I got a new windshield in my car today. Really suprised - I got AAA to spring for replacement factory glass rather than PPG/Safelite.

Now my car should be a little faster without all the craters holding me back

I'm getting my windows tinted this afternoon at Tint Pros Mobile they did a good job on my mom's Honda Fit. I'll probably do 50% in front and 30% or 20% in back which is what my mom's car had done and it looks good and keeps the car cool. Then I might get white LED replacement bulbs for my interior lighting, LED turn signals and black front grills like Josh has on his BMW.

On a side note my old TSX that I sold to my grandma just had the OEM brake pads replaced after 60K miles. Also I kind of wish I had stayed home today the roads were slick and Speed TV is replaying the 2011 Monaco F1 GP this afternoon. I wanted to go to that race this year till I found out that every hotel close to the course was sold out and those that weren't the room prices were in the $1,400 per night range for a basic room.

Josh are you going to the F1 race in Austin in November?

I've got the Type-S Aspec kit on order....should arrive sometime this week! It was really hard finding a total kit though since Acura has now discontinued making this kit in my color (ASM). Now I just need to find someone who knows what the hell they are doing to put this thing on come Spring!

I've also been contemplating purchasing the Sarona roof spoiler as well. I'm 50/50 on it right now.
