I might have to pick this one up. For the price, I wouldn't mind trying it out.

Nice to see some MN Acura lovers on here. Anyone busted 19" rims on our lovely roads around here? They've been horrible the last couple years ! I really want 19's but I'm thinking I should play it safe on 18's. I bubbled a tire every year on my last car with 18's. 04 TL

Debating...get rid of my comp tech exhaust and go back to OEM? The drone at 30-40 mph is really starting to annoy me...the weeeee going from 60-80 mph quickly is fun though.

Pineapple...I keep forgetting to send you that thing in the mail even though it sits on my desk at work...I'll remember one of these damn days.

Welcome to TC Acura. I had 19s on my 04,but only in the Summer and I never had a problem. I wouldn't put 19s in the winter you would damage them for sure.

Well the BMW died on the way to work yesterday. I got 3/4ths of the way and all of the systems just started fading away luckily I was able to limp it to an exit and put it in a parking lot. I called a co-worker to pick me up and left the car in the lot and went back to jump it at lunch time and was able to get it running again so I drove it to the dealer. After 1.5hrs they said I needed a new alternator and of course no one has one so they have to order the part directly from BMW in Germany which will take a couple days to get here so I have a 335i Xdrive loaner for the rest of the week. So far the 335 doesn't impress me it is a 55K car and it rides and feels cheap.

Yeah, I go with blizzaks on stock rims for winter. I work downtown MPLS, pothole city. I'm finding some sweet deals on 19's lately. Might have to just go for it.

I have 19" rims on, but I only drive the car during the nice months. If you had 19's on during the Winter they would for sure get ruined.

I'm rockin a new set of Blizzaks on my stockies and I LOVE them. So nice on New Years Eve/Day when the roads were slick (only time I've really gotten to test them out this year). Only thing I don't like is the road noise on dry/wet, but I'll put up with it for the performance in the snow.

I got lucky and was able to keep my blizzaks from my last car. Never got stuck once in 3 winters with them, I drove through every blizzard last year flying by BMW's and you name it. Gotta keep the nice kicks for the summer

Ron Jon has a nice deal on raven black machined right now. Everyone says they're played out, but damn they look good...

So I replaced my cabin air filter tonight... It wasn't too bad, I ended up breaking 1 clip that holds it in though. I'm disgusted to see my old filter.. I don't think the previous owner replaced it at all..

Here is a pic

Yeah, it was straight up disgusting. I broke one clip doing it, but it hasn't affected it at all, so i'm not worried about it. So far, haven't noticed any difference, but I'm sure I will once I put my air on

Hey guys, planning on lower my car in the spring. So I'm debating in between 1) tein street basic or 2) prokit lowering spring with stock shocks and then replacement shocks down the road when needed.

Any opinions? I not looking for something fancy, but cheap and gives the car a good look. Black 04 TL with 98k miles.

I had a VW with 90k that I lowered with Neuspeed springs and it made the ride really shitty, it did handle awesome ! but I rather do it right than suffer later.

If I was you I would get coilovers.

I really dont know much about coilovers for the TL, but from what I hear A-Spec is the way to be. I will be changing to Aspec when I hit 80K.

Not bad for the price . I ran into this:http://www.carid.com/2005-acura-tl-spoiler/ idk if I should pull the trigger on getting it. $199.95 painted which is $120.00 cheaper than what CurryAcura is selling them for at $320.00.

I think I might have to check on the suspension of my car next spring too. Not sure if it is getting to be that time, or if my car just has an odd stance. If I hit things too fast (speedbumps, railroad tracks, or other big hilly things) I think the ass end of my car drags.

But on a good note - I got the whole front end repainted, and got a new grill (and fender/door drivers side)

Phantom - that sucks that your BMW needs parts already. Still under warranty I assume? I keep getting notices that "my warranty is running out - act fast". Then in the spaces where it would tell me how much an extended warranty is, it's all XXXX's. lol

Knock on wood that mine hasn't had any major issues that I'm aware of. But, being an '07 with 135k - it's only time.

Part of me really loves the car, and will continue to drive it as long as possible - and pick up a CTS-V for a summer vehicle. Otherwise, I've been talking to the wife and she thinks I should get a newer model G37. If I did that, I think I'd go XS Coupe this time around. No need for the 4 doors since the wife has a RAV, and she's the driver if we go anywhere with a purpose.

Yeah me and alternators dont seem to get along very well on my old SHO the alternator went out so I had North Country Ford replace it. Then three days later when my parents were using the car to go to Iowa they got the battery light so my dad just pulled into the Chevy dealer that they had just passed to have them check it out figuring it was a fuse or loose connection. It was a bad alternator and needed to be replaced so I ended up paying $650 and my parents paid $650 for an alternator for that car. Then when we got back and went to North Country to get reimbursed for the fact they sold me a bum part but our claim was DENIED due to the fact my dad should have taken it to a Ford dealer.

This experience went much better and I picked up the car on Friday it was $750 for the part minus $50 core charge and $400 to install. All covered under warranty with a $100 deductable. I also picked up a case of oil for the car who would guess the dealer has the best price around for the Castrol TWS oil the car needs at $11.25 a liter but I did get taken for the oil filter which was $32. I looked on the internet when I got home and found it for $11 but with $10 shipping so i am only $12 out but will buy the filter somewhere else next time.

They has this M3 on the showfloor it was pretty cool with the carbon fiber trim pieces I might do that with mine.
