Not too sure if you all will have your cars out by then *cough* Jorge *cough*, but I'd be down to cruise over there and at least check it out.

Still debating to put the summer wheels on or wait a little while longer.. I'm not sure how the weather is going to hold up for the next few weeks so I'm not too sure if I want to put them on now and risk it.
I would go, but I work

Personally, I would wait to put on your summer wheels until they clean the roads of salt and fill the potholes

You're always down to help out your fellow AZiners Jorge; I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say we greatly appreciate that! It's hard getting people together for an install meet. I have tried a couple times, but have had no success I have all the parts sitting in my basement just waiting to be installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated and it would mean a lot to me! I will work around your guys' schedules; just let me know what date works best for you guys. I'll make sure to get everything so we can have a grill out

As long as you're cool with Depo, you can pick up a set for like $240 or so on Ebay... Personally I just tinted my stock 08's, but will be looking to pick up one of Ack's blacked out sets one of these days.. also need to do the headlight clearing and black out

I could come to you if that were the case, buy you dinner or bring some stuff to grill. What do you think the damage would be to do my headlights/tail lights? I have the factory red ones now, would i need to snag Jorges to mod them?

Nah, I want to stick with OEM. I don't trust that aftermarket stuff. Kinda same reason I want the aspec suspension, its made FOR the car. Only non OEM are my rims now cuz they look sweet.

XMRadio

I was trying so hard to not give XM anymore money but, missing the satellite feed thru small town driving.

So called them up today and got 6months for 47$ Since the car normally sits in the wintertime, the 77$ a year promo doesn't benefit me.

They even waived the reactivation fee, so thats cool.

call... and be persistent.
They had a 3month promo for 25$ but That didn't make sense to me.

I could do the headlights for $125 + materials. I'm not able to do the taillights till I get a dremel, so not sure on those yet. I'm having another member ship me his headlights, I should be getting them today infact.

un installing and installing of the headlights are fairly simple. They have a DIY on the garage section. I would need a few days to actually do your headlights since I'd have to wait for paint to dry.
Materials, such as primer, paint, clear coat if you want them glossy, ZKW-r clear lens if you wanted to go that route. I should have some butyl left over from the pair i'm doing today.

Hmmm.. do you have a link that shows the differences? Sorry for the questions. So the new lenses? Would those benefit by brighter? more crisp? I know mine SEEM Bright right now? When smoking out the headlights do I need to do anything special with the turn signals? I don't wanna get pinged by the po po LOL

Check this thread out. It shows the difference between stock lenses and ZKW clear lenses. It increases the crisp of the cut off line and increases light intensity.

http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?31817-TL-Lens-Swap-Comparison-Oem-vs.-ZKW-vs.-ZKW-R

With the turn signals, we can either Niteshade them, or we can just completely remove them altogether.

Whats NightShade? Sorry to be such a question person but I don't wanna get in trouble with the mod. And what do the lens' run etc? I am trying to find out start to finish what the cost would be to budget. Dropping 1300 into my tattoo so Funds are drying up..

I guess my main concern is I want them to still look factory (with blacked out like the type S) It looks like these ZKW give almost what my friends TSX has a much CRISPER looking line for the headlights which I always like in his car. Or almost like the 2012 TL i had for a loaner.. Correct?

It'll be much crisper, almost like a razor blade lol.
This is what my Authentic ZKW clear lenses look like.

This is what my ZKW-replicas looked like.

This is my stock lenses when I first got the car.

They could look like this:

Or like this:

Well, I like the lower headlights better. But I just want to make sure i don't get haggled for them. Are they street legal?

Ok so what would the cost be for the lenses you have?
I like the razor sharp lines

I am... still scared... to take my headlamps out LOL
The xterra no biggie.. Can't mess those up..
This picky technology things that could go wrong with the tl however scare me.

You shouldn't have a problem at all. You're supposed to have a reflector in your headlights or in front of your care somehwere I believe, but I don't think they are that strict about it. I'd go with the ZKW-r's, the authentic ones are extremely hard to come by and will probably run around $200 for a set.
Here's the link for the ZKW-r lenses.
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=136

Also, if you haven't had new bulbs since the car was new, I'd recommend getting a new pair.
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=148

It's extremely simple. Look at the DIY for bumper removal in the garage. The headlights only have 4 connectors from the wiring harness. Extremely simple. The only thing I can see you having troubles with is getting access to the ballast mounts on the passengers side, you have to remove the windshield washer reservoir to get to them.

I really wished I would have kept my old lights and just traded with someone. I had mine cleared with ZKW lenses. They were sweet on an SSM.

Now, some random ass rich kid has my car - and he has no idea about any of the shit thats on it probably.

I'm actually a little bummed about the wheels.. There is a little more curb rash than the pictures led on to.. There is a little on a couple of the spokes as well, that's the most noticeable part.. He touched up majority of it with some paint, but it still kind of bugs me. I think if it gets to me towards the middle of summer I'm gonna get them fixed up and power coated..

did you pick up that set off craigslist from the dude in WI ? The inspyres like mine but sparkle silver? I saw those as well, but luckily found a pair of chrome ones from another dude in Eden Prairie for 800 bucks with Toyo tires on them with not one scratch. I think you can get the road rash fixed for about 150 a rim.

a quick wash and spray wax detail last night

Cant wait to have Janik clean up my car Saturday. Will let you guys know how he does *wink*

MN plates suck. I have always been upset that I had to drill into my bumper (didnt have to in Kansas City) Any suggestions on what I should do? Grab one of those tinted License Plate Covers? Get a chrome Acura Rim cover?
