Hopefully we get a good Chicago crew going, I think right now we got about 4 for sure.

Well, in typical frustrating fashion for me, my car ran into some mishaps...
The hood (the second one they have sent me) doesn't fit at all... The gaps are all wrong, the hood lifts don't fit the screw size provided, and the grill is about 3 inches different than the hole on the hood for it.

It looks like I won't have my car back for a while.

I'll post a pic comparing the stock vs XLR8 vs the RV6 V3 when I take it off the XLR8 off this weekend. I sent Richie an email tonight and he called me within minutes to let me know he was mailing the gaskets and hardware!! Talk about customer service! Stay tuned for pics.

I'd love to goto the KC meet, and I've already got permission from the wife. I'm just not sure I like the idea that it's on a Sunday.

^^ Agreed about Sunday, but it's a small price to pay for what sounds to be a good time! I for see having a small cooler full of energy drinks for the return trip home. I'm guessing that by the time I leave I'll be home around 2 or 3 am Monday

I ordered the RV6 V3 aswell. Should be getting it today and hopefully installing it today aswell. It'll be an awesome upgrade from the RV6 V2. i'll get some pics up as soon as it comes in. Next thing ATLP base exhaust end of the month!

When are you guys having the next MN meet. I'd like to come down and meet some fellow TL/Acura owners.

I go the J-pipe on. This thing seriously looks amazing. Haven't noticed much of a difference from the V2 to the V3 but I've only driven a few miles. The exhaust should compliment nicely!

I'm replacing it because the V3 design was a lot better than the V2. My plans of now for the V2, I'm either giving it to my friend for his Accord because he gave me his AEM V2 intake. If he doesn't want it I believe Evil_Pineapple mentioned he may want to buy it from me. If those two people fall through I'll put it on the BM or if someone from this thread would like to buy it?

As promised here are a couple pics of the new jpipe I went for a few different drives today and can say that it's not an enormous gain in power, but there is definitely a change even over the XLR8 pipe. No change in sound during "most" driving, but when you get on it from a stop or hit WOT there's a definite change in tone of the car. Hard to describe from what I hear inside the car, but I like it.....going through a tunnel tonight was fun!

XLR8 with stock CAT vs RV6 V3 here

Now I just have a couple more things to finish for the summer and I'm done until I figure out what to do next

I would recommend Newport Collision Center [http://www.newportcollisioncenter.com/]. They do great work and have awesome customer service! My family has taken our vehicles to them for about 15 years now. They actually have White Heat right now doing some work to her. I am rolling around in a red 2010 4-door Chevy Cobalt LT rental car at the moment lol. If you contact them, talk to Jim and tell him that I sent ya

Good Alignment Shop Locally

Hey guys, where is a good shop locally to get an alignment performed at? I believe you said we could tackle the sway bars and coilovers ourselves, but I would need to bring my car to a shop for an alignment. I think Josh recommended a guy up north who does a great job, but I forgot his name. I need to get a quote for the labor since I am trying to have the guy who's couch hit my car pay for it because ever since that incident my car pulls to the left.

Check out Norm's Tire in Little Canada....that's where I get my tires and have never had an issue. Number is 651-483-4591. It's a small mom and pop kinda place, but they are very well trusted since I usually see a lot of collector cars getting stuff done there.

Hagen's Auto Body in Uptown, they do fantastic work. They did the scoob and it looks perfect!

Call Jeff - www.thealignmentguy.com, he does all of the work for the autocross community, his prices are much better than a typical shop and he is much more knowledgeable.

THE ALIGMENT GUY IS THE MOST ECONOMICAL I WOULD AGREE WITH JOSH BUT BODY WORK THERE IS NO BETTER THAN FAIRWAY COLLISION CENTER IN VADNAIS HEIGHTS.

Well look what the cat drug in! I just sent Jeff an e-mail. I thought you weren't on these forums anymore so I did some research to find who you recommended last year. I had to go all the way back to page #138

When do you guys wanna help me install my suspension/brake set-up? I will work around your schedules, but I need to know in advance so I can take off from work since I work weekdays and weekends. How would June 4th-6th work for everyone?

I have some schtuff to install in the scoob, and I know Jorge needs to get that J-pipe installed, but I don't know what his schedule is. I cancelled my entry in this weekend's rallycross so I have both days open.

Hi guys, just install my Megan suspension on sunday. It took me 5 1/2 hours!!! One of my (non-acura) buddy and I did the install. The hardest part was trying to find space to take out the stock unit on the rear and I couldn't get that one bolt for the rear seat to go in.

I have a final exam on Saturday morning and then work that afternoon/evening. However, on Sunday I would be available. We obviously wouldn't be able to tackle everything, but we could at least install the brake set-up and maybe the sway bars. The problem is that I cannot take my car out of the city since my car looks like this right now, and will continue to look like this for about another week:

I am looking at getting this grill package for my parent's new 300: http://www.billetanything.com/300-p/54471.htm. I cannot find any grill inserts for my car I had a custom grill installed last summer, but it does not have the shine that I want. I want my grill to shine like the grill in the above link. Do you guys know where I can get electro-polished/hand polished fine woven 304 stainless steel mesh (preferably local)? I am just looking for a sheet of it so I can cut it and make it fit in my grill...

Where was your car? Don't pay someone to do the jpipe!!!!!!! It's 9 bolts! Mine took like an hour and that is because I really took my time and took pictures and stuff. Pay me to do it if you want to pay someone!
