So Sunday he continued to carve out the hill, here's the view from my back porch.
20150405_122124_zpsjsrmannj.jpg
View from the street, welcome to the mess!
20150405_124843_zpswf7d3vd7.jpg
The orange line is pretty much the line that the wall will follow
20150405_124838_zpsjmaaokyr.jpg
He had to dig out the curve in the back corner of the yard, and then dig down the hill to where the wall will stop. You can see the roots for the all the bushes that they cut out
20150405_124945_zps0lho8buo.jpg
This is out my dining room window, as he dug all the bush roots out
20150405_143030_zpstgu8u2ti.jpg
Tight space, but he made it work
20150405_143047_zpsyszwd2c9.jpg
Also, my neighbor had an apple tree stump right on the edge of our properties that she asked to be removed.... GONE!
20150405_143752_zpsumx6ep5x.jpg
Then he had to remove the rest of the stumps from where the wall is going
20150405_150528_zpsyxocjym2.jpg
Then he regraded the dirt over the stump holes
20150405_151241_zpsvfzoewfj.jpg
After he was done carving out the wall straight across, he dug a 2 ft trench to put the base of the wall.
20150405_173649_zpsuhyrkubh.jpg
Here you can see the height of the hill, about 7 ft.
20150405_173659_zps9hoebcya.jpg
Big man exploring right where the wall will curve
20150405_173704_zpsdjvf0dbe.jpg
Climbing out
20150405_173715_zpslzwhroch.jpg
You could have it all, my empire of dirt... (6 ft tall pile of dirt/rock)
20150405_174612_zpsnh5xsezh.jpg
And here's where the wall will be

Keep digging and maybe you'll find gold and oil and be rich!

Holy sheet. What do your neighbors think of all this? Will they put up a fence to keep dogs and small children from rolling into your yard?

Yes, the whole thing will be fenced around to keep my dogs in and other neighbor's dogs out of my yard

Yeah, no. I used to have old decrepit steps on the hill, and the neighbor's little toddler wanted to come down them. It would not have been a good scene

So, now Ack can sit on his porch and growl at kids to "Get off my wall."

If Ack was sued for kid falling down stairs and getting hurt, he wouldn't have money to excavate and build great wall of Ack

If someone hops a 6 ft fence and falls another 7 ft, that's their fucking problem

I didn't, he actually removed the stump and thought he was digging on her side. All he did was remove the stump. I guess she expected him to grind it

My landscaper is going to stake that whole side of the yard, looking at the county site, she's way off as far as how big she thinks her yard is. My landscaper said to tell her to stay inside because he wouldn't want to run her over with a piece of machinery
Thanks buddy

She asked me to have the guy remove an apple tree stump on her side of the line, he was there with the excavator and popped the stump out. She's claiming that the hole left by the stump (which he's planning to fix this weekend) is where he dug to put my wall. I explained to her 8 times that the hole was from the stump. She's also claiming that her property line extends to like the middle of my yard. She's an idiot

So, my asshole neighbor calling the building inspector pushed the delivery back, but the base for the wall is down, and the first pallet of stone is here. I'll post pics later tonight

So the bobcat showed up on Friday, and he got right to work
20150410_184749_zpsumt2rvbb.jpg
He regraded the yard and then refilled the trench
20150411_130620_zpsofrun5n5.jpg
and started putting down the limestone base.

Here you can see the 6 ft level against the wall for a height comparison

Here's the first pallet of stone
20150412_142705_zps5hei1ou5.jpg
Here's the stone that I picked out, hard to see the colors with the sun glare, but it's a gray/tan blend
20150412_145214_zpsx5bt19jz.jpg
Here's the remaining layer of base ready to go down tomorrow
